I don't think FU wants to reschedule, and really it benefits them, because apparently they think they would lose.

It is not like the game had to be played in TS, there was about 6-8 options, but FU apparently wouldn't consider it.

Pretty disgusting they used what will be a disaster for their state to "gamesmanship"

Dude, people in Florida are still thinking the hurricane isn't gonna hit Florida. They're fricking morons.

They think a city 50 miles away from a category 4 hurricane will only get a little wind, some light drizzling, and have no power outages or infrastructure damage. They're just durr durr durrrr tarded

Has Alleva petitioned the SEC for this game to be officially regarded as a Florida forfeit?

Is he THAT afraid of Jeremy Foley that he won't even make the case?

I mean, that's exactly what this is, so the record should reflect that.

Will never understand why Florida refused to play neutral site. We would've gone to Florida even if we were the home team. We've moved games before. Ruins any SEC hopes for LSU, classless by the Gators

Because they knew the chances of them winning the game this weekend were slim.

Let me get this straight. UF, whose town and stadium are about 80 miles from the coast, cancels but FSU v. Miami, who are playing 11 miles from the coast, is still on?
I guess none of the players for FSU and Miami have family in Florida that may be effected by the storm.
I just don't get it.

Postponing was premature in my mind. I think a game later Saturday was doable. Still, I prefer to cancel the game than give LSU 3 home games in a row.

Why cancel now.. and instead push back to Sunday or Monday and still play there. The team is willing to..

Why not postpone and just see what comes of the hurricane. If it's too bad then cancel.. but not push back and SEE..

My goodness

Hopefully LSU brought the idea of playing on Monday to the table. Yeah you hate to lose a full week of prep but you've got southern miss next weekend so if there's ever a week to do it it's this one.

Moscona has a "Moscona Bomb" ready to drop but he hasn't said anything yet. It's on Greg Sankey

Didn't LSU pull a similar thing for the UT game in 2005 (Rita)? I don't understand why a Sun/Mon game is not an option.

Several years ago our AD let the SEC office put the screws to us when he did not scream about the Cotton Bowl taking Texas A&M over us in spite of the fact that we beat them during the season. The result was one of the only years that I can remember where we signed ZERO Texas kids. There was no public fight put up by Joe. Today's fiasco is shameful. For Joe to repeat this SEC BS about safety etc.....Had the SEC forced a decision yesterday we would not be in this position. Clearly Florida did not want to play, and took the opportunity of a weak Commissioner and opposing A.D. Aleva should resign today! I can not help but wonder if Florida was playing Alabama instead of LSU what the Birmingham Mafia would have done. I really can not believe that the SEC would allow Florida to drive this boat into the rocks knowing full well that the biggest benefactor was Alabama and their primary competition in the west for the past 10 years is LSU. Go to hell Florida! This is not what shorts are supposed to be.

We should be asking the people in Birmingham that question. Thats where the blame falls not Alleva. Although I still think he's done a poor job handling this

There's no legitimate reason why Sunday and Monday aren't still on the table. Worst case scenario, they determine after the storm passes that it isn't feasible, which leaves the game in the exact situation it's in now.

They drug their feet all week to make a call, why not drag them for two more days.

Play the game Monday or Tuesday somewhere anywhere and move next weeks games for both teams (us vs USM and them vs Mizz) to Sunday. Or even keep it Saturday.
Ole miss played a game on Monday and turned around and played Saturday that same week this year. We'll all be ok. Make it happen
