I absolutely abhorred The Avengers.

Instead of being about the worst box office movies, it devolves to "what generally liked movie can I shock people with?"
One idiot says Bagger Vance
sorry I hurt your feelings. I wasn't even aware Bagger Vance had this deep well of public support. I thought it was a terrible magic Negro movie before Matt Damon went off to actually make good movies.
And really awful movies can be enjoyable. Like Battlefield Earth is a total abomination, but it starts flirting with the so bad it's funny line. I can at least watch that. There's nothing worse than a terrible film that is also competently made and dull. There's not even the trainwreck factor.

Is Black Swan really the worst movie you've ever seen?
The worst one I've ever watched all the way through? Oh hell yes, and it's not even close.

Yes, the 1990's one did suck, with Uma Thurman. Can't stand it either.

oooohhh. I want to change my answer. This and Ghost Dad proved that Cosby was not a movie star.

It's the first that comes to mind.

we'll get teh downvotes, but it's a horrible frickin movie
Put me on this list. The Patriot is the most god awful film in modern memory. It's laugh out loud as to corny trite over the top ridiculous crap.
And that Driven movie with Stallone.

Agreed, I've never understood the love for that movie.
Then again, I think Love Actually is melo dramatic, overly schmaltzy, by the numbers, corny as hell, chick flick claptrap populated w/selfish people who I find impossible to root for so what do I know?

It is one of the worst movies that people talk up as a good movie. Formulaic, predictable, without creativity. A movie that makes you less interesting and thoughtful after seeing it.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was so bad that I had erased it from my memory until this thread popped up.
Well frick. I might have to revise my answer. Between this and Ghost Rider it's pretty tough to say which is worse.
