It's build NPD90G, if that means anything to you. Is there any such thing as a "final release"? All software is beta.

I believe this is the "beta" or Developer Preview 5 version while NRD90M is the official release.

I have NRD90M on my 6P FWIW.

ETA: I signed up for the beta program on release day, downloaded and installed the update, and then left the program without an issue.

The last few releases have been so underwhelming that I don't even know what the new features are in this one. Both Android and IOS seem to now matured to a point that game changing innovations are rare.

The update showed up on my Nexus 9 wifi, but I haven't had a chance to install it yet. Haven't checked my Nexus 9 LTE yet.

I have a couple Amazon Underground apps and one regular app through Amazon and none of them are working on N.

Just a heads up if this would cause anyone any grief start they update.

The Nexus launcher can be flashed in TWRP as long as you are on Marshmallow

LINK

I just flashed on my MXP and so far so good. I am not sure if the double tappy thingy is working though (or I guess that is a Nougat-specific feature, and not launcher feature).

Long press home button options are cool too.

This I've had it for 2 days and I've noticed a big difference in battery life on my 6p.

Ah, I thought it was already in the Nougat release. You can install on N the Nexus Launcher from my previous post.

The Ota images for at least the 5x is out. You can use that to sideload nougat. It's what I do every time so I don't have to wait or lose any data.

Are you hoping it goes away?

Yeah it's supposed to go away and open up another spot for a static app.

I have an N6, and my phone was a little laggy on marshmallow. It gradually got worse on nougat. I almost decided to factory reset, but I remembered a while back that Facebook apps can cause lag. I haven't had the main app for a while, but I did have messenger installed. I uninstalled it and the difference is amazing.

If you have any lag issues and you have either official Facebook app installed, I highly recommend uninstalling them and finding an alternative. I installed Lite Messenger for Facebook, and I am a happy man.

What does that mean? What kind of static app? I love the app drawer.

apps on the bottom row that dont change when you swipe between home pages. currently the app drawer is one of those. and it's useless there. you will still be able to access your app drawer, it just wont take a valuable static position on your screen that can go to one of your most used apps.
