Sounds plausible to me. Which Amite gauge compared to which Manchac gauge?

I'm seeing another 3" over night since the rain. Good news it appears the flow was very minimal this morning.

That rain last night was the last damn thing we needed, but I sure hope this water stops flowing today.

Anyone have any opinions on whether hwy 30 will remain unflooded? I'm thinking of going to work despite my house sinking and don't want to get trapped.

30 is close enough to the river that it shouldn't have any problems.

only a 0.01' (0.12") at both gauges the last hour. No more rain and this thing may finally flatten out.

ETA: Looking back we've only had a 0.12"/hr since 1 am.

Amite at 15 even

Bayou Manchac at Little Prairie at 15.06 Dropping (1.56"/hr)

I couldn't verify the direction of flow on I-10 due to the lack of light, but looking at the data has me encouraged it turns around today.

I'm hoping that this evening will be the end of the rise.

Once manchac and the bluff swamp side even out they'll be able to open the locks and let it start making its way out.

Gonna be painfully slow, but at least it'll be going the right way.

It's come up just a tad since I checked at midnight. Still around 4 inches to go still

We going to have to switch measurements to millimeters your cutting it so close. No more rain and it looks like you'll be safe if I had to guess.

Great news, when I saw you only had 4" left last night, I thought you were doomed? Post a pic if you get a chance.

Prayers man

I passed through there at around 6:30. Definitely wasn't flowing downstream but couldn't tell if it was in fact still flowing upstream from the lane I was in. Hopefully it has at least stalled and just waiting to turn around and start flowing downstream.

Looked to me that the flow had stopped going upstream and was sitting still on my ride in this morning.

WBRZ is reporting that water has covered the interstate AGAIN at Bluff. Are y'all seeing water rising over there?

This this time it's closer to 73 and not the Bluff Rd overpass. Think this is from Spanish Lake
