I agree 100%. People have been busting arse up and down this area helping fill bags and anything else they can. I hate that it has taken this to bring everyone together but I've always felt this parish was divided after Katrina between the locals and the "outsiders" that were not connected to Ascension till after the storm. I think this will bring this parish closer together and bridge the 2 sides.

Water now on back porch. Rise of 2 inches in 3 hours. At this rate, will have water in house on the highest natural ground on Ridge Rd in 9 to 12 hours.

Oh man, I hate that. A lot can change in 9 hours, pray that the Amite drops in time for you to feel relief.

Just got sent a video that shows the water flowing over alligator bayou road is rapidly decreasing. Hopefully the increase by you will slow down.

Bluff Swamp was 12.5'@ 10a. (.12"/hr)

Eighth of an inch drop at Bayou Fountain (15.04').

Take this with a grain of salt but I caught an update on WAFB and they said that the sandbag effort on AB is to try to steer Manchac into the swamp west of Manchac Road.

Hey, just getting here and trying to catch up. Looks like it slowed then picked back up to the .36 we've been at the n slowed again?
Where do you get the exact measures of .24 & .12? All I see when I'm on the page is the increase in feet. And what's this about the swamp has crested?

Client of mine's husband is a civ engineer and said he was told that the sandbagging on manchac road is not to stop it, but to control it. they don't wanna stop it and then start flooding out the UC

That's the only thing I can think of? They may be going bag that low area in the S-curve... This morning that water was up to the edge of the interstate. I'm not sure if it would come back over I-10 there if the lake keep filling?
