Warnings of imminent civil unrest after video released

Multiple Videos Released (Actual Video Link)

BUCKLE UP

quote:

The nationwide police bulletin said the shooting was "determined to violate their Department policy... Chicago PD anticipates civil unrest."

quote:

O'Neal was shot and died from his injuries after leading a police chase through the South Side of Chicago. He had been suspected of stealing a car.

quote:

The officer who fired the fatal shot was in a car that was struck by the car driven by O'Neal.

Whether the crash had an impact on the camera's ability to record is under investigation, according to police. Investigators are also looking into whether the officer had turned it on.

Three officers have been relieved of their police powers.

The shooting was the latest to highlight the already tenuous relationship between some communities and police.

before I watch, did the deceased have a chance to comply with police orders before things went downhill?

Wow! What an incredible fall from grace. I always thought he was the catalyst for those great 90's Yankees teams.

The cops unloading their guns on the car were absolutely fricking careless with where they were shooting. At one point I am pretty sure they were shooting at each other.

Fatal shooting aside, these idiots shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun.

I wonder if BLM will protest the 400 murders they have there on a weekly basis.

Maybe I'm missing something but it appears that the police shot first. Which some police took as the suspect shooting. So that's why they fatally put him down. Doesn't seem justifiable to me

A man using a car as a weapon is not unarmed.

Why would there be civil unrest if:

quote:

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has told reporters the shooting troubled him.

"If it's an honest mistake, we'll get them training, coaching, mentoring and get them back out there. But if it was intentional misconduct, then they have to be held accountable for it," he told reporters.

Why not wait until the investigation is over to determine if it was a justified shooting or not?

Ramming a cop car is attempted murder as far as I'm concerned. He got what he deserved. One less piece of shite in a city filled to the brim with pieces of shite.

These were the videos that were supposed to cause civil unrest? That's basically just stirring the pot to GET people to protest.

For frick's sake. Idiot steals car, leads police on chase, Rams cop head on, runs away, gets shot.

I see 0 issue here besides the cops firing into the car. Granted I didn't watch the full videos, so I didn't see what precipitated that that could have absolved the officers of wrongdoing.

Again, idiot breaks the law, idiot rams police, idiot gets shot. I feel ZERO sympathy.

Definitely careless by the cops, but the POS fled in a STOLEN car and then on foot. I could not care less that he's dead.
