didnt read all 6 pages of this thread.....just got out of the theater....5/10

-what was with the dialogue? And I dont mean the script. The script may have been somewhat decent, but the actual words, the dialogue....was so corny and contrived. I got the sense that they were trying to emulate a comic book word-for-word. There's a reason a comic reads like a comic, there's only so much real estate in that bubble to fill with text. Why would they limit the actors to an endless series of 5 word sentences?

-The editing...it wasnt as bad as BvS and that non-linear jigsaw puzzle of a story path, but the REM pattern of shot to shot to shot to shot doesnt give any credence to any pacing. Jump....jump....jump....jump....jump....like a chris cross video. The first half wasnt a movie, just a series of edited featurettes spliced together. It felt more like a YouTube fan mashup video than a movie.

-I like Joel K. Loved him in The Killing. But Flagg was a terrible character. I thought he did the best with what he was given to work with, but that script....geebus

-Soundtrack, was too much. They over-saturated the entire movie with one pop hit after another, It gave no credence to any scene with a good song. It was just Shrek and Joan Jett over and over and over again

-Where/what was the 2nd act?? There was a 1st act.....then a realllllllllly long 3rd act. Virtually no transition

It sucks, because there's good material there on film. You can see it. There are hints everywhere that this could be a really fun movie, it just got lost somewhere in the mix.

That was quite possibly the worst comic film I've seen since like Green Lantern

I saw it Thursday night .

Joker - Jared Leto brought nothing special . Anyone could have put make up on and made dumb moves while speaking awkwardly . He tried way to hard and it was cringe worthy . Looked like justin beiber

Will smith did a great job

Margot did a great job but her dialogue was dumb

You can tell where the reshoots were .. Poorly edited .

Saw it earlier today. I loved it. It was fun and very entertaining. Y'all have to quit expecting these movies to be Citizen Kane cause you'll always be disappointed.

Second viewing tonight. Enjoyed it much better since I wasn't wincing waiting for the reviews to be correct. The music didn't bother me this time. The ending is still Ghostbusterish but not a deal killer.

My wife and daughter are usually brutally honest with me when they do not like a DC movie. They both loved this movie (neither read any reviews).

I thought the same thing. Which made it better for me.

The citizen Kane line is tired. Put that standard and that means no movies are ever bad and we should enjoy them no matter what

There is a massive difference between Citizen Kane and wanting a decently produced flick.

I enjoyed the movie.

The small Flash cameo was nice

And Harley, Harley, Harley..I could watch her walk in those shorts for hours.

That's not what I'm saying. We just shouldn't expect this movie to blow us out of the water. It was supposed to be a fun and entertaining movie. Which is exactly what it did for me. I wasn't expecting t to be the dark knight worthy case there's only one director than can successfully make that type of movie work. There will probably never be another move like that and I'm perfectly fine with that. That's why I've come to respect this new universe for what it is.

So just got out of it. I think most of you are aware of my total disdain for BvS, but I really have to wonder what the critics were thinking with this movie. The movie is completely enjoyable, even if I didn't understand what was going on. The characters were all likable and was a true saving grace in the movie.

How this is lower on the T-Meter than BvS is just asinine to me. I mean really they got Harley Quinn right, as well as every other character in this movie. I don't understand totally shitting on it. So I'm going to give this a recommendation.

What's funny is that the average score for the movie on RT is 4.7/10. Close to 5/10, which is right there with your score. The RT percentage is very misleading.

BvS's is 4.9, which is even more interesting.

If I were to give it an accurate grade, I'd give it a 70. I really liked all the characters in the movie even if the plot just about drove me insane. The characters save the movie, because I never truly understood what the frick was going on.

Cool. A lot of people I did not expect to like the movie do like it and are saying that Suicide Squad (while not perfect by any means) is a turn in the right direction. I still haven't seen it. I'll know for myself tomorrow.

Wut? I mean physically, yea she was great. As for her persona, just lol. I mean she did okay in the beginning but at the end becoming all buddy buddy with them, just no.
