Why are BR protesters so dead set on trying to block the interstate?

The last 24 hour news cycle had coverage of a truck running a bunch of people over. Now ain't the time to stand in the road with that on peoples minds.

Look, I'm not one of those people who wants to run someone over with their vehicle, but I'm certainly not slamming on my breaks and risking a major accident/pile up because some morons think they can stand on the freaking interstate.

Actively planning to disrupt and encourage disruption of interstate commerce is a crime of some sort...and putting lives in terror of danger from, and of, intentional road hazards seems like that is a crime too, let's see...hrmm...inciting terror in interstate commerce...what's that fall under? I always wondered why people wouldn't just slow down to about 5 mph and just push them out of the way with their bumper... Red Rover, Red Rover, send the truck with a brush guard on over.
