Dentists are a scam

I like my semiannual cleanings. X-rays and all that shite they make you do on every other visit are a scam. It's always something

My dentist recommended I get some sort of electronic toothbrush because I was brushing too hard and tearing up my gums. I got a basic $50 Sonicare(he didn't pimp a brand to me, just told me to get one). I could tell within a month that my gums were less swollen and inflamed. Still use it twice a day with no complaints. I do buy off-brand replacement heads from Amazon. Not paying twice the price for the same toothbrush

Worth it

Only con is that it causes receding gum line

I was VERY skeptical at first. But after using a sonicare I'm a believer of the fact that it does a better job than a manual tootbrush.

My proof: I'm a coffee drinker and for whatever reason, the backsides of my front four top and bottom teeth have some pretty deep grooves in them. Dentist says nothing is wrong, just the way they formed. In any event, it was nearly impossible to clean ALL of the coffee stains with a manual. After two weeks with the Sonicare they were completely gone.

I don't know what that means for cavity prevention, but it was clear that the Sonicare was cleaning deeper than I could with the manual.

FYI: I bought the "mid-range" model for $60 on Amazon. I can't think the $200 model is going to do THAT much better. You're just paying for the unnecessary bells and whistles at that point

A waterpik is an awesome investment though

which one do you have? I have one with a water tank and the flap that covers it doesnt stay open to dry so it gets moldy smelling after a while and I cant use it anymore.

Works good but I ended up going back to a traditional toothbrush. A waterpik is an awesome investment though

I don't necessarily need to toothbrush because I have very little plaque buildup. I did invest in the waterpik because I have shitty gums in places that traditional flossing seem to be useless.

I have one. We bought a two pack at Sam's years ago. Just a basic older model, but I use it a few times a week. Usually just at night. And always a few days prior and the morning of a trip to the dentist. Cuts down on chair time and the scraping. She takes like 3-5 minutes and calls the dentist in. I don't think it is something you need to do every single day, but a great supplement to regular brushing. Honestly, flossing does more for me than brushing. I buy big packs of those little plastic flossers and use one every night.

They really are that great and order it off of Amazon. If you order the doctor version, you can save like $50. I have the one with a base that has the UV cleaner and comes with a travel thing.

Mine is probably 5 or 6 years old, and still holds charge for a month. I stopped going to the dentist because she barely did anything after I got it. I kinda miss her bajungas rubbing my head though

You are correct sir. I sell dental products and Sonicare is mostly recommended for patients with serious gum and decay issues.

Doesn't matter - half of those crooks are going to treatment plan you for fillings even if you don't have cavities.

Sonicare toothbrushes

I turn mine on, hold it against my Johnson head, and brush my teeth with a regular tooth brush. All of that is done simultaneously.
