Sadly you are right, it appears our AD is out of his depth.

Even more sadly, so too is our school president, it appears.

The whole admin blows goats. Honestly I think it starts at the top.

King is a douche on a power trip, and wouldn't surprise me if these awful "decisions" and going back and forth are caused by Alleva making a decision and King coming behind him and bowing to pressure and changing.

I don't get the need to announce the new policy in the summertime

Why not just tell visiting band programs they will not play on the field during halftime before they make the trip and be done with it? Why make it a public thing?

This. It makes no sense and this issue, among other things, makes it hard to support the powers that be.

Joe Alleva made the Duke coach resign and yet his players were innocent. That coach was a good one too. He's awful. It's often embarrassing to know that's who our AD is.. He forced a good guy to leave because he wanted a scapegoat and pretty much labeled those kids as guilty.

This admin at LSU is a joke. Worst in my 53 year memory.

Alleva, like Obama, doesn't have a clue.

He and King will be lauded as hero's and visionaries after LSU wins the CFB NC this year.

They didn't "announce" it now. It's been in effect for a year, and nobody really knew. The advocate inquired about it, and LSU answered.

What I think happened was the journalist had one conversation about a policy that had been in effect for over a year. They explained their reasoning, which included the caveat that they are still looking into a way to make it work.

Add in a little bit of journalistic magic, and poof, you have articles days apart, one suggesting this decision was just made, and the other suggesting that they immediately did a 180 on the decision.

The level of dishonesty that goes "unchecked" is astonishing. The LSU Athletic Department goes on record with statements that are outright lies and (other than the Rant) goes completely unchecked by the media, including the Advocate. The Advocate needs to do a story about the dishonesty and underhanded behavior of the LSU Athletic administration. It is shameful and because it happens so often, a lot of folks are numb to this embarrassing behavior.

Alleva could stay at LSU for a thousand centuries and not cause half the embarrassment Miles did in the title game against bama.

Would ANY athletic director have the ability to make decisions under F King?
