Food was served family style: I was all very good, but the shark fin and crab meat soup was absolutely incredible. Do any restaurants serve this?

Damn, looks incredible, was it at a restaurant? Who did the catering?

Reception was held in New Orleans East at the Crystal Palace. I have no idea who did the food, but I will be inquiring. Of all the dishes, the lobster was my least favorite due to it being a little dry. The salad, soup, quail, fried rice, steak, and scallops were very good.

Looks awesome wick. Went to a Viet wedding in Houston several years back. They had a similar 5 course full sit down dinner for 750 people and it was amazing. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

9 Roses has shark fin soup on the menu

Most places serves the crab meat soup without the shark fins, its not a game breaker with/without the fins. Since its a Vietnamese, you are suppose to have a bottle of cognac on each table, but too bad Crystal Palace venues has banned this. FWIW, if you ever get invited to a wedding @panda king. The food there is better and there's no bottle ban.

Most Vietnamese weddings are grand with 7 course meals very similar to this.

Yeah Shark fin soup. That's when they catch a shark cut the fin off and dump the rest overboard. Ridiculas and waste of game.

The waiters were walking around with it on trays.

Haha. I was at the same wedding. I used to work with the groom. Food was incredible. That salad was like a giant spring roll. Loved it.

I went to a Viet wedding a few years ago and the bride's family did all of the cooking. They are literally from Vietnam and don't speak English. It was probably some of the best food I have ever had in my life. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
