I haven't seen one racial comment so far. But thanks for bringing it up arse.

As a new father, I can't even fathom this.
This, my son is 5 months old now, and even when he's not in the car with me I'm constantly checking in the back. It's quickly becoming my number 1 fear. I've even had nightmares over it.

my first child is 7 months and i drop her off daily, after reading the story of the mom in MS who went to pick up her child from day care and the day care said she never dropped her off i freaked.
i get in such a routine in the mornings and just go through the motions...decided to set an alarm that goes off about 20 minutes after the time i drop her monday through friday.
i feel for the parents and the family because its a tragic mistake that could happen to anyone.
*assuming it wasnt done on purpose.

can't either. My son is 18 months old and he doesn't even play outside of earshot of his mother or I most of the time, let alone being left in a car.
Neither can I and I have 3 kids. And yet, just a month ago, I parked and started walking away while my daughter was still in the car. Thankfully my wife was with me and was like "where the frick are you going?" Well, I was thinking about work and she had fallen asleep and I didn't usually have her with me unless I had the other two also. shite happens.

I honestly can't get over how common this is. As soon as it starts to get hot you start hearing these stories. Mistakes happen, I get that, but I just don't understand forgetting a child is in the car.
It seems to happen enough that there needs to be some type of campaign about leaving children and animals in a vehicle.

I've never once forgotten I had my child with me. Not once.

Would love to live in a world where the judge ordered her mom (or whoever left her in the car) to be locked in a hot car until they die.

I feel you. I'd probably kill theirs first so they could share the pain first. Not saying I'd kill a kid normally, but with nothing left to lose, I'm burning this motherfricker down.

This is an absolute nightmare.

yeh that makes sense. have you geniuses stopped to think that almost every case that this happens its a parent who leaves the child in the car? So you are going to kill your spouse/ex and their children (which could be yours)

If your kids are your priority. It will never happen.
Judgemental? Call it what you want. There is a reason it's relatively rare.

They need those alarms on the car seats

Said another way, sometimes your 1.5 year old plays far enough away that yall can't hear him and vice versa?

And make it so we can watch it live.

I hate when people try and turn the parents into sympathetic pseudo-victims in these cases.
Call this opinion what you will, but if your child is your priority, this has 0% chance of happening.
