Does the 75k include the pool too?

No, wishful thinking!

1. Don't build the structure away from your house. Build it so you can step outside your back door into the kitchen. When you adjust your insurance coverage up it will be considered part of the main house and you get 100% coverage.
2. When you are entertaining, you aren't effected by weather. And you don't have to get wet and cold walking to the kitchen.
3. Position kitchen/fireplace to the East/SE to block North wind when the cold fronts push through if possible. Wind fricks with the chimney big time and can cause a smokey fireplace inside.
I put in a pool and kitchen last year with fireplace, island, grill, TV etc. I just step out my back door into a paradise watching TV, cooking while it's storming just several feet away.
Sorry if the above has been posted.
Good luck!

I had an aggregate patio as well and I put down porcelain tile on top. It turned out very nice.

Looks great!, I like the brick/concrete but not an option since I have existing patio I'm tying too.

What tile did you use? I went and looked at some this weekend found a few we liked but they all seemed like they would be slippery with moisture.

Porcelain - it's not slippery, but You don't want to run a sprint on it.

Will, would you post more pictures of your outdoor kitchen? It's pretty much exactly what I would like to build.

Anyone have any experience with Travertine as a pool deck? Pro and Cons?

Not doing another outdoor refrigerator. Had 2-3 of them and they are a pain in the arse to keep running.
Thinking of doing just a dressed up ice chest thing instead for that reason. Maybe a drawer-type setup.

I think you just single handily increased our future build budget $75k.
So thanks.
So thanks.

It's not cheap and you (or me) won't recoup the money shelled out, but we thoroughly enjoy it and don't have any plans at this time to go anywhere else.

Jesus Christ on the brick work. How much do you think all of that cost? My goal is to spend $50k but I would go higher. I myself am also not worried about recouping it but rather enjoying it.

Bad to the bone.
I'm building my own this year that probably won't cost as much as your brick work, but we don't entertain much. My wife rarely goes outside and it'll be mainly for my getaway.

Looks awesome, Will.
I think you and I have a similar layout but you have much more to offer.
Think we definitely have the same ice machine. That's Sonic ice, yes?

Roughly $75K for my outdoor kitchen setup. Quality appliances, brick work, plumbing and electrical aren't cheap!
