Last season the team peaked long before the sec tourney. This year is different. We have 17 losses and are now the team to beat.

Their lineup ripped the cover off the ball. That was a great team

And this loss was way way worse than the one against Houston. No question about it.

K

The Houston regional was all but won until a completely idiot decision to pitch McCune who was absolutely torched in SEC play. That was a collapse. Lsu was fortunate to take 1 game from SB

2 teams every year go 0-2 in Omaha. It doesn't mean you aren't a good team. You are still in the top 8. That stony brook team was good, time to let it go.

For the sake of argument, let's say every loss listed on this thread was to an underdog. Name one baseball coach in history who hasn't lost a game or series to an underdog.

I agree. I never said that they weren't. But then again, you know that already.

Simple question for the haters in here.

If we don't have PM, then who would you rather have as a realistic option?

Gone are the days where you have to coach in the South to win...

They will probably fade, PM's teams are always hot in the SEC tourney but the bats tend to cool off as the pitching gets better in the NCAAs. If they are playing like this in the World Series, then you should get excited.

You can't get excited about playing well in the SEC tourney? You sound miserable.

Possible but then again they have been hitting against some aces in the SEC tourney so I would say the pitching they are hitting against are pretty up there

if you can't look at what CPM has done this year and say this is his best coaching job at LSU including the '09 championship team then I'm sorry. He not only replaced 7 of 8 everyday position players with his offense only taking a small step back but they are scoring runs and being successful in a completely different way than last year. The pitching staff is continuing to improve and the bullpen guys have been dominant lately.

It's easy to be a coach when everything is going good but these guys could have quit in the season after the series losses to the Mississippi schools but he kept them together and they turned the corner. Like him or not he is one of the best coaches in the country.

Key word there is @Omaha. LSU has gone 1-3 the last 2 trips in Omaha....

Stony Brook had 7 players drafted in 2012, I'd say thats a pretty good ball team.

So, I don't know of I would call them a "great" team, which is the point to which I was referring.

As for the rest of your post, that's a non sequitur in respect of my point.
