Yeah it's pretty amazing how many good stadiums there are right now. The cookie cutters are almost completely gone.

and now all of this generations stadiums look the same - orange brick with green steel trim.

first time I visited St. Louis's it felt like Arlington except for the big ol' Arch in the background.

They are just a different kind of cookie cutter.

I knew some were linking the A's moving to Portland somewhat recently. A Google search brought up this local angle story from the beginning of this baseball season.

Saints legend Stan Brock seemed cold on the idea that Portland can handle MLB support in the video.

Also, Mt Davis is just a small issue with Oakland. The concourses are trashy, dirty, smelly, and could use some paint. The concrete on the lower bowl could use some patchwork.

I am anti-new stadium for the most part. I go to watch baseball, but it's also nice to catch a good view, smell some great local cuisine, and see some unique amenities.

The Oakland Coliseum has to be replaced or renovated. It is roughly the same age as the royals' stadium, Arrowhead, the Superdome, and Lambeau and they have all been renovated to keep them upto par. It is ridiculous to replace the ballpark in arlington, the Ga dome, Turner Field, etc but the Oakland Coliseum and Qualcomm have to be replaced because they are literally falling apart.

Target Field in Minneapolis is a unique new stadium. Such a fun place to go see a game even with the Twins sucking. Just love the vibe of downtown and everything about it.

I kind of like that Tampa's stadium is laughably bad.

Why do people throw around Montreal? The Expos never had good attendance, it wouldn't be any better than Tampa

Yeah between 1998 and 2004 the Trop had a larger average attendance than Olympic Stadium by a wide margin. Not even close.

I wouldnt say "never". They were at or above league average multiple seasons

They had some bad teams and Olympic stadium was built in the 70s, too.

Went twice before it was town down... was not impressed other than the history/nostalgia factor. The concourses were dark and small, and the whole place felt cramped. I haven't been to the new one to compare though

You know people say this about tiger stadium, right?

Toronto would be great if they would just redo the IF to all grass.

Being so far north the grass wouldn't survive.

I agree.. And good ole Tiger stadium in Detroit might have been old but what a place to watch a game... The new place in Detroit is horrible in comparison.....
