Klay has more traditional form. Curry is some sort of set shot jump shot hybrid. And his release point isn't very high. He's amazing at creating space and getting it off though.

Thompson's is prettier, but Curry has the quicker release.

Man I agree, and I seem to get wayyyyy more people on msb to agree with me than I do irl.... I don't know....

But for real, you couldn't get a master artist to draw the perfect shot and it look any better than Klay's shot.

Klay's stroke is ridiculously pure and consistent. Best in the league, bar none.

Curry is the razzle dazzle how-the-frick-did-he-get-that-shot-off-much-less-make-it kind of shooter. Consistently.

I guarantee you that Curry's shot is just as consistent at the point of release even with all of his razzle dazzle.

His release is so quick and he often doesn't hold his form after release that you think he just throws it up there. But if you saw it in slow motion, you'd realize he is consistent every time, even if he's fading away. He may lean back and fade away, but you look at his torso and arm angle and his shoulders are squared up and he's got the same release every time whether he's wide open or fading away with a hand in his face.

Klay's is a prettier conventional shot; Steph's is like someone whose never seen basketball before was tasked with engineering the quickest possible way to release a perfect shot.

It's Klay. By a lot too.

Obviously Steph is the "better shooter/scorer" overall, but Klay Thompson's stroke is completely pure, perfect, and fricking gorgeous.
