Productivity has no correlation to coffee intake. Providing coffee is a nice gesture, but it's not some huge productivity boost or anything

We really do have free gyms, free gourmet coffee options, a starbucks barista, free snacks, and a very cheap cafeteria with several different stations with different themes. Food is rarely more than 6-7 bucks and comes out of our paycheck if we choose to scan our ID badge.

Dude, you literally have described my actual work environment. Without giving me too many details, what region do you work in? (I'd literally laugh out loud if we work at the same place)

I'm no coffee snob. I like McDonalds coffee

I think Starbucks tastes burnt. We get Dunkin coffee off Amazon for the house.

That's why I like it. Def. prefer it over the crap that CC's or PJ's serves.

Must be cause you're a manager. I know 2 baristas who get a free drink each shift and a bag of coffee once a week.

I have never been charged for office coffee but it is a matter of you get what you pay for. I am fine with crappy coffee for free.

Last place I worked had 200 people in the office (Engineering Consulting Firm), and kept 6 pump pots of coffee full throughout the day. Pretty good coffee, at that.

Current employer doesn't provide coffee, but does provide Keurig machines in each break area. They also have a vendor that runs a small espresso cart in the entrance to the main building. I do miss the free coffee.

We have a coffee service at my job. They bring dark, french, and decaf roasts. Also supply hot chocolate, 4 different kinds of sweetener, 12oz styrofoam cups, stirrer sticks, several varieties of liquid creamer in those little plastic things... All free. We are also supplied with cases of microwave popcorn and bottled water.
About once a month we are provided lunch from a nearby restaurant, such as Spring Creek BBQ, Babes Chicken, Jason's Deli, etc
The perks are pretty good.

weren't getting the productivity ROI we'd hoped with free coffee, so we're trying free amphetamines now and its paid for itself 12x over

I wasn't as big coffee drinker in college as I was after I graduated. I used to take "Blue & Clear" caffeine tablets to before going to work after class, and, if I went out at night. Through 2008, I was taking Guarana tablets when I worked out and when I worked two jobs.
