Throw Sanders into just about any combo and it's better. Period.

hmm, two NFL and College Football HOF players paired with a a largely unproven incoming sophomore and Leonard Fournette. Tough choice

Two hall of famers vs two college kids who's only accolades are high school recruiting honors. I'll take the later.

My unbiased opinion would currently have to pick the 2 NFL Hall of Famers

Thurman and Barry only had one big year playing together in 1987. Thurman had 1,613 yds and Barry having 603 yds. The following year (after Thurman was gone) was when Barry Sanders blew up with 2,628 yds.

While the comparison is kind of silly, I think it's possible that Fournette and Guice put up better combined numbers in the upcoming year than Thurman/Barry ever put up together in college. The combined numbers from last year are probably close to that '87 season.

Fournette and Guice would have to extremely lucky with a number of factors (including franchise that drafts them) to have any possibility of being compared to the Thomas/Sanders NFL resumes.

Considering one of those pairs were pro and the other is amateur, I'd say the pros are a better combo.

That puts Thomas / Barry at 2,216 yards
And
2015 Fournette / Guice at 2,277 yards

Just throwing that out there.

You should qualify that with "Thurman Thomas/Barry Sanders" at Oklahoma St. vs Fournette/Guice at LSU. Too many posters see the names of 2 HOF'ers and think only about what they remember from the NFL.

Based on college productivity, Fournette/Guice have a chance this year to surpass Thomas/Sanders at OKST.
