What are some good:

Venues around NOLA?

Photographers?

Bands?

Caterers?

Florists?

Again, this is a "hypothetical" so no pics of hypothetical fiancée.

TIA.

Southern Oaks Plantation

at least take a look, it is pretty all inclusive, so you can save on a lot of the other vendors and shite. From a man's perspective it was nice, because there were that many less people I had to deal with, and we could do the wedding and reception at the same place.

Got married at the bourbon Orleans and I enjoyed it. Can't have a huge wedding there though we had 120 I think. Could prolly do 200 easily. Alyssa is the person to speak to there. They catered as well and I think the food was pretty good. I was a bit tipsy.

Crescent city soul was awesome for the band. Wendy is really good to work with and can sing her arse off. They have a Facebook page and site.

Used Mark Pagani as our photographer. He is a true professional, doesn't just do weddings. Does a lot of expedition shite. Again he has a site.

All are highly recommended. It's been almost 3 years and people still talk about how much fun they had.

Ya know, there are people you can pay several *hundred dollars to who do this professionally

Plus, a huge chunk of wedding venues in NOLA won't require (or even allow) outside catering.

Mark Eric is the best photographer in our region, but he is $$$$$$$$.

*thousands, apparently. ouch

Groovy 7 is hands down the best wedding band

City Park does an excellent job catering.

The rest you can figure out on your own. Miserably. While fighting with your future wife. And your mother in law. And your mom. It's a rite of passage.

Latrobe's. John Besh handles the catering. My favorite rule they have: 1 bartender for every 50 guests. We never had more than a 3-deep line at the bars. There are a ton of good bands in New Orleans. We had Groovy 7 and they were perfect.
