A guy told me about this so I Googled it and there may be something to this. I don't trust the Internet as much as I trust the OT. Is there any truth to this?

Sounds like pseudoscience to me. You could probably find this in "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About"

Add rum, pineapple juice, and a cherry, and yes, it works great for forgetting unpleasant memories.

You can cure tooth cavities with it too. All I know id my wife had me try it for cooking. The taste is awful.

Is this the one where you swish it in your mouth for 20 minutes a day? Gross.

I started using it regularly for cooking a month ago because it tastes/works good, and I haven't forgotten anything since then.

Actually use it every day in place of butter when cooking like eggs, biscuits, etc.

Only use it for cooking, but it's the only high heat oil I use. Otherwise it's butter or olive oil for low or no heat.

Every other oil is pretty much poison

I put coconut oil in my coffee, use it to sauté chicken, beef, and onions, and I slather it all over your girl's titties before I splooge on 'em.

It's the basis for the "medical food" Axona (FDA classification), which is promoted as an add-on/alternative treatment for Alzheimer's. The main ingredient is caprylic triglyceride (part of the supposed active ingredient in coconut oil). The mechanism isn't necessarily related to the medium chain fatty acid itself, but its metabolism to ketones that can potentially serve as an alternative energy source for brain cells (that can no longer use glucose).
