Atleast it's spread out over a few days and not all at once. That's the only positive I can gather from this

I've been watching this closely for a few days. The Weather Channel has been doing what the Weather Channel does. They had maps up predicting 12" to 18" of rain for a large section of NW La. They still have that for some areas but have made the areas smaller. 12"+ inches in a day or two in NW La has only happened once in my lifetime and it was 1995 or 1996. Both of my grandads were alive at the time and in their 90's and it was the first time they had seen it. I'm not buying it.

The NWS flood watch alert says 9" possible in some areas of the ArkLaTex.

These things never pan out. My rule of thumb for these rainpocalypse predictions is to cut the predictions in half and then add a half an inch.

I'm in the 7"-10" zone. I have an Accurite weather station out back and an old school gauge next to it.

I will come here Saturday and report my rain total which will probably be 4.5 inches.
