Dude is a major upgrade.

He sounds like he should be doing MLB games.

I feel like I'm listening to CBS radio or some other national affiliate. Dude has a professional something about him. One inning and I'm already anticipating his football broadcast.

Thumbs up for Blair, but I still have to say that I am going to miss Jim Hawthorne.

I don't like the way he said strike 3. I am having a hard time keeping up with the game. His calls are too slow. He has no emotion in his voice. Did you hear the 2 sec.s of dead air? His calls are too fast. He didn't gave the distance in feet of that ball hit to CF. How can I keep up with the game. He has too much emotion in his voice.

I agree. It was odd hearing someone else at first but man he sounds like a true pro.

Not sure about Doug yet

I miss Jims voice as he's the only voice I've ever heard. But Chris is a welcomed change that I'm enjoying. Excited to see how he developes into the voice of the Tigers with his own unique catch phrases.

I actually dont care for him but it is the first game so obviously im sure nerves play a part. His voice is excellent but its been hard to follow the count on multiple occasions because he tells u where the ball was but not what the umpire called it or what the batter did until after.....one example was heres the pitch low and outside...pause...but dawson went for it. So initially I thought it was a ball. I would prefer him say the batter swung and missed then tell me that it was a pitch low and away in that situation.

Jim Hawthorn was great for baseball, and Blair is a pro. Great job tonight.

This guy is a great announcer and I'm thrilled with the hire.

Like any other non-Cajun from outside south Louisiana, he'll learn how to pronounce those Cajun/French names.

Most folks from out of state pronounce the names with a "Canadian" or "Parisian" French accent.

Thus Chris was saying "Jared Po-SHAY" instead of "PO-shay."

Anyone have an audio clip for those of us who could not listen? The comments are so good, I have to hear him.
