Does anyone have any recommendations for infant child care in Baton Rouge (preferably near Oneal or close to)? Thank you in advance!

Just drop the child off at a hospital. No questions asked.

I have experience with two in that area for infants:
I would avoid the one on Firewood Rd off Oneal. The infant room is tiny. But they have a decent check in check out policy. But never felt like they gave a damn about the kids especially from their director.
The KinderCare on Oneal is pretty good for infant care since its in a pretty large room and separated from the rest of the daycare. I felt they enjoyed taking care of the kids but did have to stay on top of them filling out the paperwork and the check in check out policy isn't the greatest.
FWIW I cant imagine what infant care is anymore in tuition. All I know is I started at 185 a week or more and over 3.5 years it has never really gone down. They always have a price increase right when your child gets a year older.

The wife and I were recently looking and got lots of great recommendations for Broadmoor Methodist (Airline and Florida area), never got a chance to see it for ourselves though.

Sent my two children there. No better place in the area, perhaps all of BR.

I do enjoy hearing what parents are paying now for daycare, compared to what we paid. Comforts me some knowing other parents are getting ripped off slightly more than we did.

I have 3 at Broadmoor Presbyterian on Florida Blvd before Airline. We love it there. Youngest is 1 and oldest is 4. We drive from DS and it's not a bad drive down Florida Blvd.

At least there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for you with a decent public school system. It is just more of the same here until the kids reach 18.

If you live in Houston and not in a burb you'll probably pay from private school too

Best Child Care on Old Hammond was great for us.
It has been about 8 years since we've used them.
Good luck.

quote:This is huge, and very easy to see if you pay attention. When we did our visits, we would tour the rooms with the directors during class and they would point things out etc etc. The daycare we were sold on was due to the director. Every time we would walk into the classrooms of the kids 3-5 years old, they would stop what they were doing and run and hug the director and jump on her to get picked up etc etc. Kids cant fake that.....
But never felt like they gave a damn about the kids especially from their director.

That's actually cheap for daycare in the BTR area. I pay $900 a month for one toddler. When he goes to private school it will be much cheaper.
