No offense, but after reading from pg. 60 to 68 I’ll just keep paying directv 93/month for my 5 tv’s and wireless receivers. The cut the cord technology is just not simplified enough for my preference.

What’s the best thing to get if:

1) I want to get rid of cable

2) want all sports events especially LSU and Saints

I started Roku cutting the cord a year ago, my Spectrum internet/wi-fi 1 year promo wore out. I was paying $49.99 and it went up to $70.00.

A year ago Spectrum streaming was awful, not all locals basic channels. I just got a new promo with Spectrum called -lifestyle choices packages- and it is great, so far. I just dumped Hulu which had a lot of outages recently.

I am sure there are other options, but the one I know is Air TV. The little Air TV box is part of the 3 month bundle with sling, and the AirTV box organizes your local channels into a grid with your sling channels. Down side is you need an external hard drive to plug into the AirTV box to record locals. But as I said, there may be better solutions out there.

I take back liking Spectrum streaming. They don't have Fox News or Fox Business or any Fox channels unless you upgrade to their cable boxes in home plans.

Yet they have CNN and MSNBC on their lifestyle choices streaming package.

ATT just rolled out att tv, cheaper than direct tv and uverse, and can bundle with internet for decent price, cancel after 12 months, or they give you another 12 months at special rate.

Not sure every city that got this, but st.louis was one of them, started today i believe

Question for those with Yourube TV, some Clemson buddies and I are looking to get YouTube TV so that we can watch the ACC Network which has Clemson's opening game.

I read that you can have three different accounts tied to one membership. Does this mean that three of us could split the price of the membership? Do they have some way of knowing that we're not in the same location?

Appreciate the help! I'm not overly tech savvy.

Another update:

I can’t seem to figure out where to put the cable through the attic with all of the insulation everywhere. I decided to try to run it through the house off a splitter from my bedroom tv. For some reason, the bedroom tv is getting CBS, but the living room tv still won’t pick it up despite me channel scanning twice. The splitter is coming off of the line from the antenna before it hits the two tvs. Why would one tv get all the channels and the other be missing one?

... maybe picking up electrical interference from something near the TV. Once had a video card that affected only certain channels for over the air broadcast, I'd boot PC up and loose 3 channels. You might turn off or unplug everything in the room/nearby it'd be an easy check.

That’s definitely possible since the living room tv has all the game systems hooked up to it

Do you think a signal booster might fix that? I have one coming in the mail.

Update: STILL NO CBS!!!!

This is really pissing me off. No matter what I do, this living room tv just won’t catch cbs. It has every other channel perfectly, and my tiny living room tv gets cbs perfectly, but the living room tv (connected to the same antenna) just won’t f$&king cooperate.

This has almost pissed me off enough to consider just sucking it up and paying another $60/month for cable. Please, if anyone is in the br area that can help, I am willing to pay, please email me at bryndenblackfish@yahoo.com

I’m being driven up a wall.

Update, I found a friend that could do it. We snaked everything through the Ceiling. Everything works now, including CBS!

Channel 9 is a high VHF channel which actually requires a different antenna than the UHF channels (most are UHF) could be you have the wrong antenna! I live ib Walker and pick it up with no problems with a outdoor antenna from amazon.LINK

Came here only to realize that DirecTV plus Internet is cheaper, more efficient, and easier than “cutting the cord”

It would be under one account but you can share the account with others by giving them your login info. I do this with my son and daughter, but I pay the bill. Lol. Of course you guys could split the cost but only one would be billed.

You mean DirectTV Now? That's still cutting the cord. You're streaming instead of using a traditional cable or satellite service. It just happens to be with a company that offers those too.

List of IPTV.

I am looking at switching. Anybody got any suggestions. I'm looking through Troy point. Would rather here from the board though.
