Those poor teachers get their state income tax free drop money too when they retire at a very young age.

And then have the opportunity to "double-dip". But yes, by all means they are "underpaid"

I'm sure glad I went to college and got a real job.

Teachers have to get degrees, and considering they show up and get a paycheck, it is a real job. The lack of respect for teachers is unbelievable. I know with my job, I can't home school my kids, and I'm sure with your "real job" you can't either. So do you want someone to teach your kids things they need to learn to help them later in life, like the English language, math, etc etc....or would you rather your kids just be completely stupid?

If your job makes you feel this way then it's time to quit or change careers. You should either love your job or at least simply tolerate it. You shouldn't hate it.

Everyone knows at least 1 teacher who bitch es about their job and post about "vacation" constantly. That 1 teacher represents the whole of the profession, even though every profession has an individual that all they do is bitch and moan.

You're a moron if you think being a teacher is easy.

Being a teacher IS easy, being a good one isn't. I look at the people I went to high school with and can't believe they're the ones teaching others. They were almost all idiots.

I never said I thought it was easy. They just seem to complain a lot about ample time off from work.

You can apply that same logic to most professions.

Despite their foibles, I will say that teacher chicks seem to be the best women to date and settle down with. Female doctors and lawyers tend to be narcissistic egomaniacs. Female teachers generally have a brain in their head without the ego, enjoy life but are into family, have lots of time off, and aren't quite as slutty/gold digging as other professions with many of the same positive qualities (like nurses).

One of the more well rounded and genuine females I've ever dated was a teacher. She was fun and sexy to boot.
