Can I get a list of the sad souls who hated Star Wars?

You deserve a Scarlet Letter.

"OMG it's not realistic that Poe survived that crash and got off Jakku"

"That guy sounds like a shitty Bane"

"Dialogue sucked"

You are all fgts

That movie was an absolute pleasure. I feel sorry for anybody walking out of it whining.

I enjoyed the movie a lot, but it does suffer from a number of structural problems. It's fun and it did more than it needed to get the franchise back on its feet after the prequels, but it's just flat out not as good a movie as any of the OT

In another thread long ago, I typed up a psychological profile of people who choose to be negative and miserable about everything that the majority enjoys. These few people fit that profile. I feel sorry for them. I hope they had a Merry Christmas but I'm pretty sure they didn't recognize the day as that.

I think they are just trolling trying to make a name for themselves like Breesus and his South Park hating.

I went in with low expectations, and wanted to hate on it, but I ended up loving it

I haven't, but if you research their post history I'll bet it's mostly negative, miserable comments about all topics. Sadly, there are a lot of people like that.

I certainly didn't "hate" it; I thought it was just okay and not worth the hype or praise it has received. I couldn't care less about the Poe and Finn characters -- I was actually disappointed when it was revealed that Poe survived the crash -- and Kylo Ren (once he removed his helmet) was a huge bitch, a straight Marilyn Manson minus-the-makeup clone.

I thought it was average at best. Acting suspect except girl. When the defector got blood on his helmet, i thought he looked like Wilson on castaway.

When Kylo had his helmet on he sounded like Anton Chigurh, which was a good thing... then he took it off, and any menacing qualities he had totally disappeared. He just looked like a whiny emo kid.

Anyone who doesn't think this was the greatest movie ever created is a moron and needs to die. It makes Casablanca look like some Larry the Cable Guy straight to dvd trash. Daisey Ridley's performance is the best performance in the history of acting.

Why people can't grasp that this was on purpose, and added miles of depth to a character with little screen time in a somewhat rushed movie, is beyond me. It's staring you right in the face.

I liked the movie - it barely made the OT tier but it did what it needed to do.

If they screw up and don't address the OBVIOUS questions they raised in this move appropriately in episode 8, this movie will free fall into OT/Prequel limbo right above Sith.

If they go forward and address them the way I think they will then we are talking top 3 above Jedi and maybe even with Hope.

Purposeful or not, I think they should've left the mask on. There's nothing to fear now that I know what's underneath.

Oh.

You want a simple white and black, good and evil, non complicated story don't you?

What they they showed us from Ren in this movie has more than enough potential to produce the villain you're wanting moving forward.

But it still leaves the door open for redemption.

This is a children's movie made to sell toys, nothing more nothing less.

Disney set out to make an easy to digest movie and kick off a franchise that allow them to print money for the next 40 years. I'm a nerd who read the extended universe books and came to terms a long time ago that it wouldn't be exactly what I was hoping for and that's ok. That being said it was better than than the prequels and its solidly tied w/ ROTJ for the number 3 spot. All the people championing it as the GOAT are jackasses caught up in the hype.
