guy at the Saints game Monday held up the line with his dog. I think 90% of the "emotional support dogs" are people who lied to be able to bring their pets everywhere.

Emotional Support "anxiety" dogs =/= service dog

Emotional support can fly with with owner because the airlines allow it, however they are not protected by the ADA (American Disability Act)

You sure they are not police dogs? I went to Vegas the weekend before Thanksgiving and our flight was late in the evening, but earlier that day I received a noticed that airports throughout the US would be taking extra security measures. As we were leaving the hotel there were dogs at every other entrance and while security guys had the dogs, the guards were standing on side post and you would see the dogs before them and it was as if they tried to not make it obvious the dogs were their for security, I am sure many people thought "service dog" but it wasn't until you got right up to the area that you could notice they were there with security.

I gotcha. These dogs were on leashes, but they didn't have any type of vest on them or anything. I thought that was odd because at first look, I didn't think security dogs. Each one was just sitting there calm as hell watching the foot traffic. If you were going out from an angle or coming in, it was hard to see the security guards, but I thought it was impressive how disciplined the dogs were.

When I flew into Nola from Dallas last month, there were tons of "service dogs". There was literally a gutter punk looking chick with dreads, dressed in rags with a backpack and her large, mangy dog, getting onto the flight.
I've been told its cheaper to take pet with you than to pay to have it boarded, but you have to make it a " service" animal. It's all bullshite & I heard airlines are going to start cracking down on this shite.

Unless you check your bags...You'll be waiting there for 60 minutes to get your luggage.

I hear that dogs are thrown around in the luggage section and sometimes freeze since no temperature control. I would do it if I had to travel with a dog.

^^this.

I personally know 3 people who paid a bunch of money to register their dogs as service animals. Nothing wrong with any of them medically, just feel the need to carry their dog everywhere like an accessory. Nowadays, anything can qualify as a medical condition which these idiots take advantage of.

In case no one pointed it out, those dogs are there for comforting travelers. Little crazy but true.

There's a difference between service dogs and "emotional support animals." Stupid high maintenance c unts need to leave their dogs at home where they belong.

Maybe a way to get your pet to fly for free.

This is the correct answer. I know three different couples that have nothing wrong with them that have their dogs registered as service dogs so that they can fly in the cabin of the plane with them for free. Otherwise its $150 per flight to bring your dog inside.
