So Thursday wife gets home from work locks car comes in as usual. Friday morning she can't find them, only had 1 set. Tear the house apart all week looking for them, no luck. Get locksmith out Monday to have new set made
Today I go to vacuum and wash car before a road trip. Open the trunk and wala, car keys. She never opened trunk on Thurday. Anyone else had similiar experience? We are really weirded out by it

You're weirded out because she drops the keys in the trunk and closed it without realizing she dropped them?

She's lying because you just spent $$ fixing her mistake/forgetfulness.

Since car keys can't fly and don't have legs I'm willing to bet she put them there and forgot.

A) wala? Really dude?
B) They're always in the last place you look, right?
3) She put them in the trunk on Thursday and either forgot or is lying about it because she's embarrassed to admit she locked her keys in the trunk.

I'm guessing she did open the trunk to get something out of it, dropped the keys, and "wala", lost them.

did your wife get home at least an hour before you?

did she go grocery shopping first?

did you search the car Friday morning?

This has all the trappings of a Mary's Immaculate Conception type story.
