Empire wasn't changed as much in the newer releases.
Only Jedi and New Hope need to be watched as they came. Empire is the masterpiece of the saga and there was little to change.
I'm watching the end of "attack of the Clones now"
Just watched the original trilogy for the first time in years this weekend.

Never seen any of them. Interested though.
Shoulf i watch the old ones first or just start at the first one.
As in, watch in the order they were released or watch in the order of their episodes.

456123.
You could start with 5 and I don't think you'd be too lost. 4 is kinda a standalone other than how the band got together but why would you want to do that?

Yeah, and it does have the one change that I actually approve of: putting Ian McDirmad in as the Emperor. It is just jarring in retrospect and a good thing they put him in there.

The only way to watch Star Wars is 451236 IMO one of the more popular ways is called the Machete order which is 45236.it completely leaves out TPM which I wouldn't suggest for a first time view.

I watched it Saturday night. The Cloud City duel is my absolute favorite.

Some friends and I went through a rewatch over the last couple weeks. First time I've seen the OT in years and first time watching in 451236 order. Couple observations:
1. This is absolutely the best order to watch imo. Seeing the parallels between Anakin and Luke makes both films feel more complete.
2. I was a kid when the prequels came out and watching now I am suprised how fake many of the scenes look with all the CGI compared to the OT. For being 30 vs 10-15 years old, the OT has held up better in that regard and just have a better look to them.
3. There's obviously flaws in many places with these and of course the OT will always be better, but the story of Star Wars and many of the characters are just so engaging you can't help but love it.
4. I am so fricking jacked for TFW!!! Only 5 more days...I think they're gonna knock this one out of the park. Who's with me?

I'm doing the 123456 order since I've always done it the 456123 order in the past. Wish I had known about the 451236 order though, that sounds like a really interesting way of doing it. I'm watching 4 tonight though, so I'm just a bit behind yall
