I own a mossberg chainsaw. It's short and is built like a tank. I think it holds 6 or 7 shells. Look it up, it will get the job done.

Mine is a Browning Pump Shotgun cut to 18.5.

The barrel I cut was an old 30" full that never got used. I kept the 28" modified for hunting.

The cheap maverick 88 made in mexico by mossberg is an awesome little gun.

It is loosely made, so as long as you have the strength to cycle it, you can.

At 180 bucks a pop, you can have a few everywhere.

Mossberg 835 cut to 18 1/8".
3 1/2" chamber that handles slugs.

Alternating birdshot and buckshot.

How is the tamer grip? I have an old 70's 870 wing master I'm about to convert to a home defense gun. I've ordered a mossberg 18.5 barrel ( I don't want to cut down the original ). I was planning on putting the youth 870 stock on it.

Also anyone know anybody in south Alabama that cerakotes? Price for the action and barrel of a 870?

It's fine for 3" shells, but I wouldn't advise a limp wristed man to pull the trigger with a 3 1/2" shell in it.
