We don't need a Cam Newton from JUCO. A decent QB from one of the better programs would be a huge improvement.

You are right about Harris. He is not a SEC QB. He does not have the tools other than a strong arm. If les cannot recruit a quality QB this year (and he probably will not), we will continue to slide. The offensive ineptitude is laughable.

Fournette gives him the "frick you" eyes alot. So do Dupre and Diarse

LM needs to get QB coach and OC that can truly untap the kids potential, and create a playbook around him. When you look at MS State and Dak Presscott (who LSU was recruiting to be a TE) and see how they're playbook is made to cater to his abilities. Same with Freeze and Kelly. Same with Coker and Bama. The coaches were smart enough to change their game plans based of off their QB's strengths.

You do that and you have wide open offense and most teams will have a problem with handling (see OM and Bama past 2yrs). Miles refuses to change his playbook to fit his players abilities. That's why we're behind now. Just my $.02

I actually thought Harris played pretty well until November and even then he had some good numbers in a couple of games.

I agree with previous post: confidence. And lack of proper coaching.

Design an offense that fits the skills of the players we have. No more "round peg-square hole."

And actually develop QBs so they, you know, improve.

What OC worth AF is going to come here with Les? There is a good chance it would be only for 1 year if LSU has a similar year. And it is clear that Miles runs the offense. IMO no way Les gives up the reigns to the offense. No way.

Where is Jennings? Is he still on the team? That being said, he would have done just as well. The OC and the system needs to change, I believe either Jennings or Harris could get the job done with the proper coaching.

Lee was better in 11 than 08, JJ was better in 11 than 10, Mett was better in 13 than 12. Russell improved yoy

This all QBs regress theme needs to die too.

I understand all of that and agree with you. LM is going to call his style of offense and that's that. But when does he wake up and see that this isn't the age of the Ace formation and I-formation anymore?

I truly hope that someone has stepped up and told him they would keep him on if he lets the OC do what he is hired to do, which is call the offensive playbook.

Unfortunately I don't think he ever realizes that. I wish he would though.

Harris had a decent year as a quarterback, he'll probably get even better next year. I think he'll likely be top 5 in the SEC next year.

Anyone know gets brought in will be a disappointment. I'm at the point where I expect the worst from the QB, the kid will not be developed.

Did you not watch Harris misfire a million times last night?

Dude STFU.

You whine like a little bitch, then berate other people's opinions?

Coach Miles is staying for now, don't make it any worse on everyone else.

Brandon Harris would be much better if he had gone to a program like Baylor or some school with at least half of a QB coach.

JUCO QB's can suck too. And why do you want a JUCO QB? Because he's had a couple year's experience? Same thing that BH needs. He will learn a lot from this year and we will have 2 great years ahead.

I think Harris' regression is a confidence problem and I think that problem has bitten a lot of this team since the Bama loss. Harris has all of the tools, he just needs to trust himself and his coaches need to keep on coaching him up.

Confidence plus mechanics. The team had success with his production in the Auburn, USC and UF games, but his confidence has been on a slide for a few weeks. He got it together late last week, but he wasn't able to get into a groove until we were already down.

The reads weren't awful last night, for the most part. He was just incredibly inaccurate. Regardless of Miles having his hands on the offense, I am really disappointed in Cam. He has a solid rep as a QB guy, but Harris' technique hasn't improved much in two years. Even if his talent is suspect (which I still don't believe), any QB can be taught to throw with good technique.
