Is it possible 'interest was gauged?' Yes, it's absolutely possible.

I don't think LSU 'interviewed' Herman, at least not as we would think of it.

He'd be a very interesting hire, though.

What are you talking about? The LSU job? Then you really have no clue. By the way, most coaches and players just sit around and relax all day on gameday. It is not impossible for him to field a call. Plus, the game was at home, so that makes it even more possible.

6hrs ago this guy had Jimbo coming to LSU. Muschamp was on board, and Ed O was jockeying with Syracuse to get paid more from LSU.

He's not going to leave Houston before they play their conference championship game. Additionally, if they win, I have a hard time believing he'll leave before a major bowl game.
