If you're moving out that way might as well just move to St. Gabriel. (Bayou Paul area)

With the UClub nearby schools are St. Jude or St. George. Not sure about MSA-East since you won't be in Iberville.

On second thought, stay away. St. Gabriel is a terrible place to live. Keep out.

There are plans to extend University Club Drive to Bluebonnet at the entrance of The Preserve at Harveston (not Burbank), but that is still a long ways away. I don't think it will ever have a gate because it is a public road and EBR Parish DPW won't allow it

This was what I also heard.

Overall I think that the UC is one of the best development in Baton Rouge and will stay that way for a very long time.

I followed a realtor I was working with to look at a potential house in there, I took an older company truck there that was kinda ratty and real banged up. Afterwards i drove to the back to check out the club and course and a douche flagged me down and made me stop to make sure i knew there were cameras in the neighborhood. Guess he thought i was casing the neighborhood out or something

We just finished design stage, and builder will start on our house in about three weeks.

I'm not pumped about the drive, but overall, it's a beautiful neighborhood.

Why does the levee system matter? If the levee gives way there is a huge chunk of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas that have to worry, not just University Club. I live south of Highland so if they are screwed then so am I.

There is a reason Highland Road is called Highland Road.

It's not as far out as it seems since everything around it is developing. When Wampold and Fetzer finish their development that whole area will be developed. I had a lot in the second filing but sold it. I just wanted to be higher. Other than that it is a nice development and getting better. Your ex governor might be your neighbor.

Would make more sense to connect it via Bluebonnet and Audubon Lakes Drive.

Otherwise you have to figure out a way around Tradition Avenue and the other neighborhood off Manchac.

I will see it's a little ridiculous that UC doesn't allow private carts for its residents (combined with charging a monthly trail fee).

There is/was a cart plan you can use for unlimited amount of rounds. Plus the course owned carts give you GPS.

Biggest gripe I hear from people that joined is there is always a tournament, and they never have any tee times.

It's dumb, if you live in BR and are under 41 the deal at CCL and BRCC is dumb thru the end of the year, UClub is over rated.
