Only replacement LSU should even consider for replacing Miles is Saban. Any other choice is unacceptable. Miles is one of the best recruiters in all of college football. What is needed is better coaches around him with more innovative ideas (offensive play calling continues to be offensive) and defensively more depth and dbacks that take correct angles to tackle.

IMHO the coaching staff was very, very, very disappointed with the team play against Ala. and it carried over to Ark. If LSU can ever get over the fact that Ala. does not define their season (mindset change) they will be fine moving forward.

Beat Ole Miss and we are back on track. Otherwise, heads will probably roll...... just not CLM's

The following coaches can beat Saban on a consistent basis. We should hire one of them.

End of list.

So what you are saying is accept the fact we will rarely if ever beam ALA-

This means we accept we may rarely if ever win the west, SECCG and a NC.

So you are willing to be just a good program not the best program?

Who hires those people?

Who recruits or oversees the recruiting?

Who hires and is responsible for the coaches who are supposed to see that the players take the right angles?

In business, the President (Head Coach) of a Company is ultimately responsible to the Board of Directors (Athletic Director) for everything that goes on in the business.

The President can make changes, but ultimately if the right decisions are not made in a timely fashion and the same mistakes or poor execution are continued, it is the President that must be made accountable.

It wouldn't take long for me to be seeking other employment if I or those I am responsible for kept making the same mistakes and all I did was admit that it was my fault but didn't do anything to change things.

Talk to Miles about that. Cameron is calling the plays based off the weekly game plan script that is 100% Les Miles approved!

Are you serious?

Miles has no alternative plans to when his way doesn't work.. that is concerning.. We aren't putting our players in the best position to win games.

We have the players to at least COMPETE!

Are you seriously making excuses?

Does this mean you think Miles is the 2nd best coach in college football?

There are plenty of good coaches out there who would love to have the resources available at LSU.

Coach Miles has run his course at LSU. It's time to move on.

IMO Keep existing staff and Miles in place with one exception: a new OC with a passing background incorporated into our pro-style offense. The new OC should be picked by committee and have assistant head coaching responsibilities. In other words, force Miles to give the new OC drastic increases in play calling.

You're looking simply at stars. There is more to recruit than that and Miles has failed time and time again.

He doesn't recruit the players that run the scheme he wants to run and depth has been an issue for years. He knows when he has classed that will have a lot of early departures and its up to him to do something about it.

I think everyone is very serious. People are fed up with the results on the field. Nice man, good heart and all that. But we want to win championships and he is getting further and further because he does not know what to do anymore.

We tried that. Miles is on his 11th year and his OCs have all end up with the same problems because Miles won't give up control of the offense.

If we do change OCs, it needs to come from above Miles' head and it needs to be clear that this OC is not a puppet and must have control. Miles needs to retire soon if not fired.

The real question is are you serious?

If you can't coach the players, I doesn't matter how good of a recruiter you are. I'd actually question his recruiting ability...There's a lack of overall depth a key positions on the team, and he doesn't do a good job of guarding home base and keeping in state talent at home.

He's got some of the highest paid assistant coaches in the country. Who else do you want? They're all hand picked by Miles!

I'd take Saban, but not sure if that's realistic... They can take their pick and get whoever they want within reason though... Either way The Tigers better wake up before this train runs off the tracks.

Probably one of the dumbest posts I've read on here. We have recruiting classes that are ranked high every year. However, let's look at how good the recruiting really is. Maquadious Bain, gone. DT
Rashard Robinson, gone CB
Clifton Garrett, gone LB
Haden Rettig, never here QB
Avery Johnson, gone WR
Travonte Valentine, never here DT
Trey Lealaimatafao, gone DT

Not that we don't have attrition but look at the ratings of these players who either didn't contribute at all or very little. Either player evaluation failed regarding character, intelligence or talent or they aren't getting developed once they got here.

Your just happy with mediocrity. Lot's of us are not. If you don't think that given the resources, money spent, fan base, facilities we should be doing a lot better then you have a pretty low opinion of LSU.
