I have that and I didn't have to be associated with a group of wannabe toolbags to get it.

Didn't get a bid huh? Poor guy. Still bitter I see.

I lol at this response. Every frat star thinks that anyone who makes fun of them just didn't get a bid.

I feel like sending the guy an email, but I figure it will just be a waste of my time.

Paying dues is worth it when you have huge elaborate parties in a mansion all thru college and are guaranteed a huge business network after graduating.

bullshite. The only frat I'll give credit to on this is TKE. I know several TKEs and they all participate in alumni events. I've been on the golf course with a TKE before who was trying to hit up a playing partner for a job for one of his TKE brothers. Oddly enough, these guys always seem to be saddled with the lowest opinions in the hierarchy of Greeks on campuses. Outside of TKE's, I can't name a single person I know that pledged that has any more than a passing relationship through their fraternity post college.

And don't even get me started on sororities. My wife was in one at SLU, and several good friends were sisters at one at LSU. Neither groups have ever had a single networking contact resulting from Greek life.

I think this is a lie that is told to justify rent-a-friends.

You are clueless. Maybe you just don't know the right folks.

Nope. I was hired by two fraternity brothers for different jobs in my early career. Alumni hire each other and buy/sell from each other all the time. My first job out of college was working for an alumni contacting the house for upcoming graduates.

It may not be the case in some smaller chapters, but any mid to large chapter with an alumni group is going to have a ton of connections.

Reason I asked is because I started a thread on a game day asking about why I saw Sigma Chi pack up their tailgate and haul arse off the parade grounds hours before the game. This was Fla game. The thread was whacked because someone mentioned some tragedy or something with a member. Was it related to this suspension?

I was a Kappa Sigma and remain tight with lots of guys from my chapter and even from a few others. I graduated college 20 years ago btw.

Florida weekend apparently^^. Also, seems it wasn't in the house. Still surprising you never saw it in the Advocate of Reveille.

Your thread was related. They were packing up the tailgate once they found out.

Even had a party that night "in his honor." (not sure who thought that was appropriate)
