I texted him asking about his situation. They can't just charter a jet at this point... they were supposed to leave today on a scheduled flight and that was cancelled. The city is surrounded by rugged mountains and I have no clue what kind of options are further inland. I would think the Hilton would have one of the safest structures in the area but obviously the proximity to the water is very concerning.

When hurricanes get this big and angry, I think they should have a male name. Like Butch or something.

ISS pics are going to be awesome.



The greens in the middle show really cold cloud tops. It looks like they are starting to warm and maybe be losing a little steam.

Yeah that was uneventful as frick. I've been waiting since ISS was around India for it to get to where the hurricane is and I didn't see shite. Thanks a lot, NASA.

none of the path models i have seen show it doing that, they all showing it going up into texas and Louisiana...im not the one to ask about those things though, i dont know shite about the weather
