It looks like the remnants of Patricia may turn straight north and miss most of Louisiana. Anyone seeing the same?

No, the low level circulation of Patricia was scoured out by the mountains and dry interior of Mexico. The mid level circulation is being absorbed into the the 500mb trough. The low in the Gulf is a pretty typical cold season low that we see all the time. The biggest contribution from Patricia to this is a feed of mid and upper level energy and Pacific moisture.
Decent surface low in 24hrs per 00z Euro
but when you look at the 500mb, it doesn't look so tropical anymore
And the current surface analysis agrees but it will still bring heavy rain and winds to Louisiana

In Houston debating on driving to new Orleans today or tomorrow. shite was bad in Houston last night and I'd rather not drive through that with the wife and 5 month old.
