Dandy Don- Fournette didn't look as impressive

This was apparently expressed to Dandy Don by some fans after JD Moore went down. What do people expect when you are running against 10 men in the box? It had nothing to do with Moore.

Fournette's 87 yard TD was without Moore.
We didn't do anything on the ground until Moore went out and we started running more out of spread formations.

they held him in check in the 1st half, but if Fournette plays the entire game, he easily has >200 yards again
and how could anyone not be impressed with a man his size running away from DBs like that?

Dumb fans.
Once again, had the staff wanted to, Fournette could have gone over 250 had he stayed in the game and gotten 30 touches.

Debatable, JD Moore is one of the most underrated players for LSU. Dude is a wrecking ball of a blocker.
Once he went out, LSU went to more of a spread offensive approach.

Dandy Don's son wanted Ratphuck Hobley to see more snaps.

It is because most fans are stupid and latch on to anything they hear announcers say. One of the guys calling the game said this a few times.

Sweet Jesus, it's like people forget HW and BJ didn't even run for 200+ yds in every single game.

Honestly, I could easily see these people hearing the commentators (who talked thoroughly about Fournette being "less effective" without JD Moore), and are simply repeating that, or they heard it and in light of 3-consecutive 200 yard rushing games...yes he looks "less impressive" , but he definitely set the bar really high. If Fournette rushes for 150+ every game the rest of the season he will win the Heisman.

Fans are saying that bc the announcers were making a big deal about it. It's not that big of a deal.
All of DG's yards came w/o JDM so does that mean he is better than LF??

what's the latest on Moore by the way?

What's funny is that his 200 yd games had multiple very long runs. The remainder of his carries looked very similar to the first half against SCAR.
He pretty consistently gets 3-4 yd grinds against a stacked box. That in of itself is incredible.

Fournette was flat wearing out the Carolina defense. They were completely gassed by the time Fournette was pulled from the game. Fournette could have abused them for another 25 minutes if he and Les Miles would have wanted. If anything, Fournette's effort was more impressive to me. He showed that he has the determination to keep giving 100% even when things are less successful than hoped for.

JD Moore is a good blocker, and part of our running success.
There have been more than a few plays that Moore laid a critical block.
That being said, LF7 looked just as impressive, if the blocking wasn't as good.

Not to slight him in anyway, but he actually didn't look as impressive, and he'd probably be the first one to admit that. We're used to him picking up chunks consistently. Outside of his long run, he averaged 3.7 yards on his other 19 carries.
