Thank God there was a good guy with a gun!
quote:
Houston police said around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, two men attacked another man who was parked in the Valero parking lot near Jensen Drive and Caplin Street.
quote:
When the assailants attempted to take his truck, a witness parked at the gas pump started shooting at the men, according to authorities.

Police said he accidentally shot the victim in the head.

who would try and steal that shitty arse truck anyway?

I was under the impression that every "good guy" with a gun could hit a pea from 50 yards.

Yea, let's use one outlier example to make an argument about regulating guns.

How do they know the shooter wasn't working with the carjackers?

I guess I should give up my gun due to the fact that other people are incompetent.

Well, they didn't get the truck.

Damn, you're right. I guess I better turn in all my guns. I sure learned my lesson.

In this case it's not the gun law but perhaps the gun owner's discretion in question. He's not in danger and blasts? Fine w me the crook took one to the dome but this actor will face huge punishments if only exhorbinant defense bills. He will be affected 1000 times more than the "victim" and car owner in this case.

This is you, right?
It's not one story, it's every story. There are sooooo many cases where some cowboy wannabe has their gun stolen, shoots the wrong person, almost shoots the wrong person, or ends up being the dangerous criminal that commits domestic abuse or shoots some guy who's texting in a movie theater. It's almost every case. This is just one more.

Nah, but those comments do have some hilariously made-up statistics though.

Yep, 2nd amendment is invalid. Some random troll found a news story about a bunch of idiots.

This is a prime example of poor or no training at all.

Poor dude that got shot in the head should have had his own gun. What an idiot.

Guns are illegal in Chicago, and people get shot all the time

I would never pull my gun to prevent a car theft.
Unless I was sure I could get to my gun, I would even give up my car to a car-jack. As much as I would prefer to kill him, it's just not worth the hassle, especially over an insured vehicle.
The wild card in all this is that you never know what a POS w/ a gun is going to do.
This time it went bad for the victim, but who's to say they wouldn't have shot him anyway?

What an arse. How does dickwad with the gun know the victim didn't plan this "carjacking" as an elaborate insurance scam?

Guess that means you keep giving money to people selling bridges or you just make shite up since you have nothing really intelligent to say.
