and really...the only beer this board hoards or goes nuts over is Ghost, and the hoarding and trading of Ghost is nothing compared to some beers
It's mostly fun in games here, when FBD scores cases they always spread the wealth.

Wouldn't hoarding Ghost be sort of silly since it is not good after a few months?
Not being a smartass. Asking.

You can drink an IPA that is 6 months old if you want. But it will always taste like it is intended fresh. Most brewers worth their salt have a born on date for that reason.
Old beer is gross. And spending $12 on a 4 or 6 pack for a beer that tasted old, mustey, and stale because the brewers didn't put a stamp date is easily avoidable.

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA only gets better with age. A year or two on the holy grail for hopheads brings out deliciously sweet sherry and marmalade notes. (See – we told you there are no hard-and-fast rules!)

You might not prefer what age does to certain beers, but you don't have to worry about beer going bad.
"If someone grabs a bottle of Black & Blue off the shelf and it says 2009 on it, they shouldn't be afraid to open it," Ryan says. "There's no expiration date. It's just going to be different."
Rebecca agrees.
"It's not milk," she says. "It doesn't go bad on the shelf. It'll never make you sick. It might not be the flavor that you remember, but it might be a flavor that you like even more."

I don't think you understand this hops thing judging from the majority of your posts.

Having a special that is inconsistent with the pricing on your menu. The special of the night should not be 2x the most expensive thing on the menu.
Similarly a server that doesn't tell you the price of a special.
Servers that make things that are additional costs sound like they are included. "Would you like the sweet potato fries with that"?
Servers that when they are asked for a menu suggestion just point you to the 3 most expensive things.
A house salad that is just lettuce from a bag. Make a decent salad or don't offer anything.

And finally, I don't give a frick what your favorite dishes are, I don't know you, don't know what you like, and for all I know you might love the taste of arse, hence I'm not interested in your opinion.
Restaurant I used to work at in Baton Rouge...the owner was adamant about not patronizing the customers with your unwarranted opinions on the menu (unless asked of course) and it was a disciplinary offense to compliment someone on their order.

You realize that 120 minute IPA is a 12% beer, and is heavily malt accentuated. It is not typical of IPA's.

Black and blue is a 10% belgian ale. It is not an IPA. I never said aging beers was not appropriate. I said aging IPA's. Most IPA's are not intended to be aged. Try aging something like sweetwater Hop Hash IPA for a year. Can you drink it? Of course. But it is intended to be consumed fresh.

Any food or drink from a restaurant that employs hipster, tattooed, douchebag chefs that try to look hard.
So I guess any restaurant in Portland, OR.
Hipsters are dirty and don't give a frick. Not the people you want preparing your food.

You just described Little Village.
I love the place, but those specials are ridiculous and they don't tell you the price. I've made that mistake only once.
And they always.. "Would you like some bread with your meal?" when they charge you for the bread.
I notice some places do that with fries as well.

Interesting. I always like when someone tells me I made a good choice. Makes me even more exciting for what is coming

Would you like to add 3 grilled shrimp to your order for only a $7 upcharge?

It´s been going on for what seem eons, but the ´hand crafted´, ´hand cut´ bold faced lie bullshite has got to stop (my brain steams when reading it).

It is healthier. As long as you don't replace it with processed gluten-free junk food.
