Looking for something different to grill on game day

I'll be at a friend's house for Auburn and we'll both do a little cooking. I'm thinking of doing something outside of the burgers/sausage/chicken parts landscape because there will be plenty of that stuff anyway.
I was leaning toward Armadillo Eggs or Atomic Buffalo Turds, but I figured I'd hit you guys up for some ideas.
I have a full kitchen and both gas and electric grills and smokers available to use. My grilling/smoking confidence level is medium-high and I can acquire any necessary ingredients in the coming days.
Thanks in advance.

--Artichokes....damn, I love grilled artichokes, especially when done under a brick so they're extra crispy.
--fruit: grilled peaches are damn good over ice cream or with crumbled almond shortbread on top. Ditto for grilled fresh pineapple, esp if basted w/coconut milk.
--heads of romaine lettuce. make a homemade caesar dressing & grill some shrimp to scatter on top of the halved, grilled romaine heads.

I did a buttermilk marinated Turkey breast the other day. The recipe is on Weber's website. It came out solid. It requires a day to marinade. Beer Can chicken is always a hit as well.

Skip the armadillo eggs and do a fatty or two.

quote:That sounds wonderful. Alas, I have no duck. I'd be restricted to grocery store meats.
duck bombs
ETA: I'm sure I could scour some markets and find some duck, but I'm not sure if I can make time to hunt one ingredient down.

Fatty
I make these like a pepperoni pizza and they are a pretty big hit.

Whole Foods sells duck.

Gonna be smoking a pork belly on my Vision for the first time. High Cotton posted a thread a while back you should check out. Looked legit.

I did this with a leg of lamb a couple of months ago. Kind of a Greek thing, with mint, yogurt, lemons. Turned out great.

I grilled a goat leg with my in-laws for father's day. Can't find the recipe, but I covered it with lime juice and olive oil, then just rubbed it with stuff I had in the spice rack -- salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, oregano.

Recommend using raw or confit?
Also, the fatty is happening without a doubt. I failed to mention that there will be about a half dozen kids between 9 and 15. Cheese and bacon will be a hit. Not sure how they'll be with duck.

Interesting. I've never done this with read meat. I've always used Italian sausage.

Honestly I don't cook much with duck. So I don't know how to answer this.

raw. I usually do them with teal breasts. Cut them into small pieces with jalapeno and cream cheese and wrap with bacon. Easy and always delicious

Mexican street corn as a side. Everyone raves when I make it, and it's pretty easy.
Shuck corn. Grill directly on grill to get a nice char. Personally, I don't like trying to eat it off the cob, so I remove corn from cobs and mix everything in a bowl, but if you want to keep on cobs.. slather each cob with mayo when it is hot off the grill, coat in cotija cheese (parm if you're in a pinch), chili powder, fresh chopped cilantro, and a few squeezes of lime.

We are smoking some pork butts this week. Early start so figured we'd throw them on the smoker friday night then just reheat it at the tailgate.
