Yeah, and we knew it wouldn't be as good simply because we knew that the plan was fricked due to Heath Ledger being dead. It was disappointing, but not in an atrocious way. He could only do so much.

not even gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoyed Spawn.

well disappointing vs. bad films is the point of the article.
no one expected Superman IV to be any good after Superman III
TDKR didn't live up to the TDK
no one expected Catwoman,Elektra or Ghost Rider II to be any good.
No one expected Fant4stic Four to be any good, and yet there it is on the list.

The Dark Knight Rises makes the list but no the Amazing Spider Man

I removed it from my list on second thought, since I knew that movie would be a piece of shite the second it was greenlit. I knew they were just going to take whatever jumbled notes were on the table at the time and try to make a script out of it, and that's clearly what happened. The others on that are not that disappointing.

And also, this trailer from Ultron.
He references taking their hope from them first. The general populace, and the government at large as far as we're told, is largely ignorant to Ultron's presence throughout the film. How is merely lurking from the shadows and lifting a hunk of rock for 30 minutes going to destroy humanity's hope? Ultron kicking the shite out of the Avengers in a major city, killing everyone in the city, and then adding a few major cities to his death toll would have achieved this. Like people afraid of drones, if Ultron was done effectively, the sky would have meant fear, since Ultron could be over the horizon about to kill everyone looking in that general direction.

Lol at Ironman 3 not on there
Agreed. Iron Man is my favorite Marvel hero, but Iron Man 3 was infuriating. Tony Stark was hardly in the suit (it was all about the remote suits), the little boy part in the tiny city was dumb, and the absolute worst part (and the cherry on top) was when Gwyneth Paltrow ended up saving the day. That was just incredibly ridiculous and quite a letdown.

I would add Cap 1 to that list. I was so pumped to see that film, but it turned out to be a snooze fest. I loved the second one so I tried giving it another shot, but I just couldn't get thru it. That movie was painfully boring.

Superman Returns was far worse than Man of Steel. There was one action scene at the beginning, the rest was Superman lifting things and stalking Lois Lane. And giving Superman a son? WTF

Agree overall except for: X-Men Origins:Wolverine, which I liked.

Are you kidding? Maybe not TD.com,where we were part of the Trank shitfest rumors...but by in large some people were expecting/hoping this was kicking off a Fox-Marvel cinematic universe...yourself included.

How does a list like this?
A) leave out IM3, Batman and Robin, and Catwoman
B) rank Spiderman3 outside the top two turds evah

again were you really excited about Catwoman?

Ghost Rider II
I'm not sure why, but in spite of how terrible they are I still enjoy both of the Cage Ghostrider efforts. Somehow I forgive their epic terribleness in the same way I enjoyed Roadhouse or Point Break.
Vaya Con Dios Ghostrider

I've never cared for the character, but he is hard to adapt to a live action film. maybe in another realm, like in Dr.Strange's movies could he exist.

by that standard most of the list doesn't make sense.
maybe three of the ten looked decent on preview

That's kind of my thinking. For me, as a big fan of Superman and X-Men, X3 and Superman Returns were HUGE disappointments for me.
X2 is still one of my favorite comic movies of all time and I was so looking forward to X3. Even though I knew Singer left X-Men to go do Superman Returns, I still had faith that Ratner wouldn't frick things up that bad. That movie turned out to be shite.
Ironically Singer's movie didn't turn out much better, at least IMO. I'd been waiting my entire life to see Superman on the big screen. I was hoping for something better than another real estate plot like we got in the first movie. Routh looked too young as Superman. The outfit was bad. Louis was bad. Superman was a creepy stalker. It was so underwhelming from an action standpoint, and I was shocked to see that the budget was over 200 mil. I don't think Man of Steel was a perfect movie by any means, but at least I finally got to see Superman kick some arse. Superman having a Super son? WTF were they thinking?
For me, nothing will ever be more disappointing than those two movies.

I get what you are saying, but some of these movies had aspirations for building something bigger, a la Green Lantern.
Man of Steel was crushed because Superman killed someone-even though he does that sort of thing.
this latest F4 film was going to be the start of the FMU.
Daredevil was going to be the start of Affleck the action star and a spin-off series with Elektra.
Spawn was the epitome of Image Comics sticking it to the Big Two.
TDKR was a disappointment for several reasons.
All of these movies are not judged on the same scale, but what they were supposed to do or what they meant is the point of the article.
I have no problem with you disagreeing with the list, just giving you what I think are the author's reasoning.

I agree except for number 6. Replace that with Amazing Spider man 2
