Last week I had one roll right through a 4 way stop. I was stopped and saw him coming up from the right. I knew he wasn't going to stop. I creeped up but he rolled on through in front of me. I sat on my horn and he turned around with a wtf is your deal look on his face. If I wasn't paying attention I would have crushed him.

Maybe he has a bike built for two and you could ride along!

so serious question
if you are behind a cyclist and y'all come to a stop sign, would you rather the cyclists come to a full stop or treat the stop sign as a yield sign like some states allow?
I know I would rather the cyclist treat it as a yield sign if I'm in a vehicle behind the cyclist

If I can clearly see that there are no cars coming from either direction then of course I'm not going to stop. The difference between a person in a car doing this and a person on a bike is that if I were mistaken and someone were there, the biker's life is the only one at risk

Has anyone ever seen a cyclist stop at a stop sign?
do you know how many watts you waste getting back up to speed?

I think treating it as a yield would be best.

I stop at stop signs if there is traffic in or around the intersection. Otherwise I roll on through.
I also stay in line in traffic and not jump to the front. I ride single file. I also hate critical mass because they do exactly what you shouldnt do on a bike.
I get it, a lot of cyclists are idiots. There are even more bad drivers out there. I bet many post here.

Yes. Every time I ride up to a stop sign.

Treating it as a yield is fine if they stop for cars already stopped at the stop sign.

Why do so many dumbasses think cyclists DON'T own cars? I've been driving since I was 16, been riding since I was 19. These things aren't mutually exclusive.
And yes, there are a LOT of a-hole cyclists. There are proportionately just as many a-hole drivers. a-hole cyclists that impede my drive piss me off just as much as the rest of y'all. BUT, that doesn't give me the right to endanger their lives.
Check your high and mighty testosterone fueled justifications for a second and honestly think about it. If you ran in to someone in a car driving slower than you and killed them, how would you feel? They had the right to be there didn't they? Well guess what, so do cyclists. By law, they are required to ride on the street, not the sidewalk.
Now, should they do their best to stay out of faster traffics way? Yes. Should they choose what roads they ride on wisely, avoiding high traffic routes and times of day? Yes. Should drivers do their best to pass them safely and get on about their business? Hell yes.
I ride 3-4 times a week. over 100 miles a week easily. I get that I'm slower than you. I hug the right side, ride the shoulder if there is one, and stay off roads that are high traffic.
Cut me some slack, I'm a brother, friend, husband, coworker, dad, and I also drive a fricking car. I'm not some space alien.
As in all things in life, if we all tried a little harder to not be assholes and infringe on each others space, it would all be good.

We gotta get some miles and a beer man. I'll be at the memorial S picnic loop 3 times this week. Come on over.

Slow your peddling bro...
That is satire from Top Gear...If you haven't seen that episode, and you bike, you should take some time to watch it
