Hey, why do you get to post in both threads?
I'm guessing it's because I am only commenting on things that we are all Hodors on (like the Hardhome fight, how many WW's there are, etc). I've purposely avoided things like Cersei's current situation or Cat of the Canals.
Or maybe it's just my pleasant disposition and winning smile?
Most likely it's that they just haven't realized it yet ;)

you do realize hodors read this thread and RA people for that, right?

So on the preview for next week Tyrion is clearly sitting on stage with Dany in the stadium.
I also think Ramsey's mission involves burning part of the Stannis camp during the night to lower morale.

That's what I was afraid of. I thought he was going to be killed and become a zombie giant
Still not sure what his plan was, is it really smart to have that guy on a boat? Don't think that would end well

His last words were the best part of the article

The Iron Throne? Who needs it? In the scheme of things, it’s just a particularly heavy deck chair on the Titanic. What we saw last night, at long last, was the entirety of the iceberg.

Oh, and it only took this many seasons to finally make scenes with Dany interesting.
I thought Dany's first scene in season 1 was pretty interesting.

Yeah Dany was very interesting through the first 3 or so seasons
It wasn't until Mereen that she got just unbearably boring

Of course, they also had Stannis tell his daughter that she was cured, so who knows? This post was edited on 6/1 at 1:47 pm
After Val's point of view on greyscale I don't think she is cured and I think shireen with something with patch face is going to release the grey plague on some folks.

Yep. Dany only served a purpose when we saw her breasteses and arse. Now that Tyrion is there she serves a purpose again.

The first line of her final chapter in aDwD. It was when she climbs down a hill. Not Drogon.
"It took Dany half the morning to climb down. By the time she reached the bottom
she was winded. Her muscles ached, and she felt as if she had the beginnings of a fever.
The rocks had scraped her hands raw. They are better than they were, though, she
decided as she picked at a broken blister. Her skin was pink and tender, and a pale milky
fluid was leaking from her cracked palms, but her burns were healing."

Amen. At this point, the show is doing what the book SHOULD have done a long time ago. Connect people and move shite along. This season has made the last 2 books look like dog shite. For the most part, (some things notwithstanding) the movement in the show and the changes are a breath of fresh air.
This season has been the absolute worst in the series. The changes have been terrible far more than they have been for the better. They made one change that improved on the storyline, sending Jon to Hardhome. It happened to be the one of the top 2 episodes of the series, along with Blackwater, but that doesn't change the fact that they have struggled greatly without GRRM text to follow.
Barristan did not need to die. He was Kingsguard his entire adult life and no more fit to be Hand of the Queen than he was Master of Coin. He has also been gone since Robert died and has little inside knowledge of current loyalties and alliances. I also see nothing out of Barristan that would judge Tyrion unfairly. Dany with Lord Commander Barristan Selmy and Hand of the Queen Tyrion Lannister, along with a Dothraki Hoarde, thousands of Unsullied, and oh yeah dragons, is pretty damn formidable.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. At first look, I agreed with that statement. But now that the story has moved along, I have changed my mind on that (especially with Sansa being moved to the North, and Jon being sent to Hardhome).

He probably didn't absolutely have to die, but his death made Dany an isolated queen with no confidants that she could trust besides her BFF chick. This made her a lot more willing to give Tyrion a chance two "talk" her into taking him on as his adviser. Hell, Tyrion didn't really have to talk her into, and they both knew it. But that worked because Dany was basically alone in Meereen.

I thought Dany's path was great in the shows until she arrived in Mereen. Grey Worm, her 46 titles, Daario, and lack of mobility was the cause.

I think this could be the best season. I'll hold off judgement until it's complete.
Posted on 6/1/15 at 3:56 pm to Hugo Stiglitz
Also, I think Jorah might not make it to season six.

Someone posting about a mutiny against Jon in that Hodor spinoff thread
Posted on 6/1/15 at 4:02 pm to wildtigercat93
Yeah, he also claims to firmly believe that R+L=J. I mean, he could pick up on the mutiny from this season, or at least that he'll be met with some resistance. I'm sorry, I just couldn't pick R+L=J from the few nuggets that were dropped this season.

Yeah, but her stall in Meereen was no different in the books. As a matter of a fact, D&D have definitely sped up that storyline by speeding up Tyrion and Dany's meeting which hasn't even happened yet in the books.
