I would love to see Bond go back the glory days of Roger Moore where there was more subtle comedy and pure ladies man smoothness instead of making him a superhero body builder Jason bourne.

I think McGregor would harken back to the greatest Bond of all... Roger Moore.

You're probably right. Maybe the rock or Joseph Gordon Levitt would be better

While I enjoyed Roger Moore as James Bond, I actually prefer Sean Connery as the ideal Bond character.

After watching The Hour I could see Dominic West as Bond.

They could never make the old school Bond movies anymore. World is too PC for them.

Bond smacks chicks on the arse and they just smile and giggle.

Dude , McGregors grill is WRECKED and hes pretty trollish looking. Ive loved some of his work but nobody wants to see Bond sipping a martini and grinning with incest teeth

And here I thought I was the only one who considered Moore the best Bond.

No on McGregor though.

I enjoyed both Moore and Connery.

The current films are totally joyless.

I liked Skyfall but I wasn't crazy about Casino Royale like others were. There needs to be some sort of comic relief. As good as Craig is at being Bond, the new Bond films are way too serious.

I'm the opposite. Enjoyed most all of casino royale (except the Miami airport scene, which felt horribly out of place), and disn't care for Skyfall. funny for how it tried so hard to delve into Bonds past but still never felt like a 007 film

Fell asleep the only time I tried to endure Quantum of Solace.

I'm a huge McGregor fan, but he can't be Obi Wan and Bond.

Complete opposite for me. Casino Royale was good; Skyfall was meh.

I saw Ewan McGregor on Broadway. He seems a bit dainty, if you will, for a James Bond.

The idea of Elba is growing on me. I don't even care that he is black anymore, for a traditionally white role. It would be interesting to explore the character from that angle. I really enjoy his acting style, and the character would be in good hands. He has a carelessness about him that comes across as arrogance. Would really fit the role.

Ewan was already up for the role once, and was passed over for Craig. I don't think his style fits the role.

Please no.

Naaa, even I were to agree that Bond needed to have some more levity.

THey should probably start grooming Ben Barnes now. He'd make a great Bond in 5-10 Years.
