So I stumbled upon 4 level 7 deserters (I'm level 3) and took them down pretty easily. I've gotten combat down pretty well (hold parry button entire time, and DODGE!!111). On PC, double-tapping a direction button (WASD) dodges, which is very handy. I'm only playing on Normal though.
Also, PC players using M/KB: Turn on hardware cursor.
EDIT: Another thing I really appreciate about this game is the lack of unskippable splash screens for every single company that might've had a hand in making this game. From the moment I double click the game icon to actually being able to play the game is about 13 seconds (skipping the intro narrative stuff). It would be 10 seconds if the recap narrative would let me skip it faster.

The ladies in the wood part with the kids and grandma gave me the absolute creeps for some reason.
Also, the world of the Witcher would be the absolute worst place to live ever.

Leave it on. You get to pick some major plot points that will decide what type of world you play in after a few hours of playing. you can look up the choices, but i don't think anyone is sure yet what the choices do, or I haven't found it.

This Keira Metz storyline is fantastic

I hate werewolves. They own me. I have killed one and I'm fighting another one and they've killed me probably 30-40 times.

+1
Monsters everywhere, feudal lifestyle, tied to land as a peasant, have to depend on evil magicians for protection from other evil, the list goes on and on

So you can't upgrade the default starting armor?
I could have described what I meant. I'm saying like when you are at the badass final stage of most RPGs, fully decked out and all of that, I would like to be able to take any armor and make it badass ya know?

frick spectres. Normally easy to kill, unless you are fighting an actual monster, with them in the background, and they frick you up. This is where the lock on system screws you. It will auto focus on the actual monster, and make it almost impossible to lock onto the spectres. Then they vanish, cut you up, and you cry.
That Baron mission tho

I've had a lot more success not locking on to things, honestly.

The sell prices never matched up with what was listed in the inventory.
I could be wrong, but I don't think they are going to match up ever. I think that price is what it is worth, but I don't think you will ever get that value.

Almost level 11. Finally going to go to Novigrad. Going to go to every quest board in the game first.

Killed the griffin yesterday. At level 3 and in Velon. I bought some passes from some guy...if they are fake I am going to have to track him down and ruin his shite.
When I first got into Velon there was some "person in distress" mission. I killed the bandits but they did not have a key and the cage was empty. I am guessing this was a glitch?

That happened to me too. Idk.

I will comment that these bandits are pretty brave folk. I would not stick around and fight after seeing my friend get cut in half.

Damn. I've played a ton, and I'm still just level 7. Though, I've been exploring and discovering question marks mostly. Probably need to do some more quests
