Food & Romance Combo in or near French Quarter

I'm looking for an excellent food place, but one with a very intimate setting for couples, in the French Quarter this coming weekend. I've searched Urbanspoon for food ratings as well as articles for top romantic restaurants.
Some far, the ones I'm considering are:
Delmonico
August
Bayona
Muriel's
Amelie
We don't venture to NOLA very often and have already been to Arnaud's last time we decided such a dinner getaway there. We've also done Commander's and Dickie Brennan's.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can get like 10 burgers and a BJ at the Krystal on Bourbon for around 25 bucks FWIW.

That's a pretty diverse list.
August is by far the best of that bunch. Its a wonderful restaurant. If you have the money (it will be very expensive to do this) the tasting menu with the wine pairings is absolutely amazing.
Lots of people like Bayona. I am not one of them at all, but there will be some dissenting opinions on that.
Amelie has a very nice outdoor setting but it is definitely on the more casual side.
I wouldn't consider the others for this.

Not in FQ.

Try Richard Fiske's and see about getting a table with a curtain.

I would toss Irene's on that list.
Delmonico is not in the quarter.

Delmonico wasn't very intimate from my experience. I went with my girlfriend for her birthday, and they placed us at a 2 top literally six inches over from another couple on a date. It was virtually a four top of complete strangers on separate dates, and very awkward.

Thanks. You seem to do quite a bit of NOLA dining and venturing, so your opinion is definitely noted.

August. Wear your nice white rubber boots.

Delmonico is not in the FQ. Neither is August for that matter, but for what you describe, August is the best fit. It can be difficult to get a good reservation time there on short notice, so if you're trying to go, you should call asap.
Not in the FQ, but I like Gautreau's for such an occasion. It's terrific and well worth venturing out of the FQ.

Was thinking my nice, button-down Affliction shirt.

One of the best. I just ate there last week. It was outstanding.

The reviews about Irene's discuss how loud the place is. I know we're talking about NOLA, but other places I've been to don't seem to have quite the reputation. The menu looks delicious, but since it's sort of an anniversary dinner before lots of party activity the next evening, I'm hoping for something semi-mellow.
We'll probably be dining around 9pm or so, if that helps as to the kind of place that is good during that time of the evening.

Irene's isn't even remotely romantic IMO.

Irene's gets a lot of play. I wouldn't call it romantic. The tables are very close together and it's loud. I went last year and left disappointed, though I'm in the minority. They were out of some of the dishes we wanted to order. I loved the bruschetta and the crabmeat app. The entree was pretty blah, but arse's recent meal looked terrific. I think two of us had fish dishes which were not very enjoyable. I was going to order one of their Italian dishes. Can't recall which one, but it wasn't available.
We were in the middle room with low ceilings and I felt trapped at the table more so than other Nola restaurants at which the tables are close together. The waiter get barely get in close to hear us order much less serve us.

Right now, looking like I'll want to choose between Richard Fiske's, August, Le Foret and Bayona, unless someone else has a real good suggestion.
Appreciate the help, ladies and gentlemen.

Correction on Irene's. I had the meatball fixed up as an entree because both the Italian dishes I ordered were all gone and we weren't there late. Here's the review.

ragin, have you been to R'evolution? The thread above contains a review of that, as well. I've been back since and it was again terrific. It's a very comfy place with plenty of space between tables and oh so wonderful chairs. Plenty of privacy as far as other tables. There's a nice little patio outside if you want to have drink there. It's not a dark restaurant, but I'd be delighted to return any time. Service was great. It's in the FQ.
