Embiid is the best. When he comes back, I will probably be a fan because of his tweeting and the fact that he seems like a fun guy.

He's a great recruiter. He's a slightly above average in game coach IMO.

Bo Ryan and Mike Brey ran circles around him

Well stated.

You don't know his name, but feel you're worthy of ranking coaches. That's rich.

Kevin Ollie and Cal have the same number of championships.

People act like championships are just handed out. It's extremely hard to win 1, much less 3 or 4

People act like Cal could coach for 30 more years and wouldn't get 3 or 4. Idiots.

If every coach didn't win who "should have" then there'd be a lot of overrated coaches. Especially guys like Coach K and Roy Williams.

He's gone to 4 Final Fours in 5 years though. Don't see how that's overrated.

People are dumb. Apparently Final Fours aren't important now. Either you win it all or you suck - keyboard jockeys with zero credibility.

It's one thing for a coach to have a really good team one year and get upset and another for Cal to get the number one overall recruiting class, the best talent by far year in and year out, nba ready guys and only have one championship. His overall coaching ability is overrated but those who follow basketball understand he's just a recruiter.

Literally Cal is a great great coach but idiots expect him to be even greater so he's overrated.

Oh, he "should" have won? Why, because that team was so good? ....and why was that team so good?

Ding ding ding!

Same with every coach and that's why people suck the izzo dick so much. He is great and deserves it but no one ever calls him overrated because he underachieves in regular seasons.

On the backs of players who shouldn't even be playing college ball.

Exactly. Coaches who do really well in the regular season, namely K, Cal, and Self will underachieve in the NCAA single elimination format. It's almost impossible not to. Actually, Cal has probably gone on the longest non-underachieving streak since K's 86-92 streak, where he went to 6 Final Fours in 7 years.
