Shut up. How often do they practice free throws? How much do they emphasize it? I'll bet it's not nearly enough.
lol you really think a D1 basketball team doesn't practice free throws?

One hell of a gag job

Sometimes there are key moments in a game, like when you have a guard at the line to push a lead further... When they shoot fts as bad as your 6-8 power forwards in the clutch, you are asking to lose.
Quarterman shot FTs like shaq , in a big moment in the Auburn game, and now the NC State game, and we paid for it.
Guards are supposed to knock down FTs

Yea he did no offensive plays, just really sickening to watch if you know anything about basketball. Could have easily slowed the game down and won with making any free throws, that guy is the worst excuse for a basketball coach I have ever seen.

You trash Miles for sneezing wrong, but give Jones a pass for his team looking lost the entire second half?
At least you're consistent in having no idea what you're talking about.

quarterman was not perfect but he did a lot of good to outweigh the bad
he was the ONLY guy who could initiate an offense or find open looks

It's certainly not all his fault, but really well coached teams don't fall apart like this one did tonight. It just doesn't happen and he can't escape a good part of the blame.
No, he shouldn't be fired for it.

They did slow the game down. Were you watching? The problem was the complete lack of composure by the players.

Yeah Quarterman was the life of the team in the 2nd half
Without him LAU loses their lead a lot earlier

the guys had open shots
they didn't convert
i don't criticize miles when WRs keep dropping passes or RBs keep fumbling
jones also wasn't playing conservatively trying not to lose. our guys just ran out of gas and were weak mentally

I feel like a sucker for getting excited earlier in the game. I should have known better. I think damn near every game I watched this year had a melt at the end.

Quarterman deserves at least a mention.
Are you kidding me? You obviously only watched the last 5 min of the game. Quarterman was like 2 rebounds and 3 assists away from a triple double.

So is Mickey going to make more as undrafted free agent next year than he did from the bookies this year?

Can't believe people are actually suprised.
When was the last time LSU had a basketball team that was actaully relevant?

He choked at the line, again.
If the term "free throw" means anything, it is supposed to mean just that... Especially for guards .
I understand Mickey bricking a few, but a guard shouldn't shoot a free throw like that.
He choked twice in our last two games at the line.
Difference made. I expect a good guard to do what you said he did, AND make FREE Throws

It's call milking the clock, it basketball 101 they keep running and gunning with a double digit lead. Take a little time off of each time down the court.

i mean he almost has a triple double tonight, so you're basically asking for lebron
...except lebron has FT issues
...esp late in games
