Admittedly, I'm not the most industrious guy. However, I work circles around my two sons.

This MAY sound CRAZY, but it's likely that you will get a variety of different answers! Why? Because different individuals have different life experiences growing up, causing them to change or replicate the behavior of their parents. A hard working, dedicated man can produce a lazy little shite, and a deadbeat can raise a future millionaire.

The world is entirely too full of fools. Each moment should be extremely serious and smiling is just a facade for the weak. Every man woman and child should toil endlessly everyday, for a moment of downtime is a moment of waste and squander.

Anywhere there is fun, I'll be there to stop it.

Wherever children are playing, I'll be there to give them celery and a book.

Whenever an adult cries out for enjoyment, I'll answer back that they should be at work.

Can't tell if serious. If so, it sounds as though he was clever enough to roll off a zinger on the fly and you were too slow to pick up on it.

I would say that the most damaging trait of your generation is the complete lack of understanding wit.

His response was incredibly witty.

In your coworker's defense, the older generation followed the news and cared and they still fricked up the country. Why should he feel responsible for fixing it now.

I wouldn't value the answer anyway since most people think that no one else has their own work ethic and drive.

My dad works hard now but I'm sure when he was young it wasn't always that way. Actually, I've heard the stories. It wasn't always that way.
